Thoughts needed
I received a call yesterday from my son's fiance. She had been seen by a cariologist at her Ob's insistence. They took her straight from the office by ambulance to Sinai. She has congestive heart failure. She will need to remain in the hospital for the remainder of her pregnancy. The doctor's are hoping treatment will prolong the pregnancy, but will deliver the baby if the stress is to much on her heart. We are taking it one day at a time right now. She is 23 weeks pregnant.
I may not be posting much in the next few days or weeks, but I will try to read form time to time!
AIME,
MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU, YOUR SON AND HIS FIANCE. THERE ARE NEVER REALLY ANY GOOD WORDS THAT CAN HELP EASE THE WORRY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE FEELING AT THIS TIME. JUST KNOW THAT WE'RE HERE FOR YOU WHEN YOU NEED US.
AS A NEONATAL NURSE I SEE THIS KIND OF THING ALMOST DAILY. THE LONGER THEY CAN MANAGE HER MEDICALLY W/O DELIVERING HER IS BETTER FOR THE BABY. WE DELIVERED A 26wk BOY ON SUNDAY, HE WEIGHED 2# 7.1 AND MOM AND BABY HAVE A LONG STRESSED ADVENTURE ON THEIR HANDS. BUT ADVANCES ARE BEING MADE DAILY ON CARING FOR AND TREATING THESE TINY BABIES.
HAVE THEY GIVEN HER ANY CELESTONE? THIS HELPS W/ LUNG MATURITY OF THE NEONATE. SINAI IS A WONDERFUL HOSP AND HAS A WELL RESPECTED NICU.
KEEP US UP DATED ON HER PROGRESS WHEN YOU CAN.
DONNA, SFY
Aime,
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. She is at a wonderful hospital and they have come so far we will pray that she can hold out as long as possible. Only He knows what is in His plan. Just remember He does not give us more than we can handle. I am sorry if you are not much of a religious person but please just know you are in my thoughts.
Hugs Hugs,
Melissa
