Completely depressed...
{{{{Patty}}}} I wish I could reach out and give you a big hug! We all lose at different rates -- all of our bodies are different. I remember how I felt at MY last plateau, so I can completely understand.
My loss is slower because I am 53, and because I can't exercise as much as some of the rest of you. Hang in there and stick with the basics. Your stall will break and your weight loss will start again!
Patty, don't be depressed, think about how far you've come. Look back to this time last year, and you'll see how much you've accomplished! I get upset because I had so much to lose from the beginning, and everyone i****ting their goals, and now I'm just at where most of you started, so I have twice as far to go, but I think about where I was this time last year, and it puts it all into perspective.
Keep smiling, you're doing great!!!!!
Hi Patty,
Sorry to hear you are depressed. That's not a pleasant way to feel.
Would you want to say more about what's going on? There could be all sorts of reasons for your rate of weight loss and your current plateau. Perhaps if you told us more, we could make suggestions...where did you start out and how much have you lost? What do you eat? What sort of exercise do you do? How old are you? What's going on in your life?
Lisa
Well let's see I started @ 296 my heaviest ever, I have lost only 78 lbs, I try to eat only what the MD suggested which is kind of hard for me because I can't make my self eat more than 3 times a day, I do Yoga every morning and walk every evening and I'm 29 years old, as for my life I really have no major stress ...same old you know work, bills but that's about it I just don't know what more to do I've been stuck for over 3 months
Patti, I don't know what you MD has suggested or how much you want to lose in total. Your BMI will also be a determining factor.
You must make sure you eat everything you are supposed to eat or you will not lose weight. Aim for 60-72 oz protein daily. Make sure you get those healthy carbs in too, but only after you get all your protein in at each meal. Are you drinking you 64+ oz of fluids each day?
How much do you walk? Can you add to it? Try something new, maybe swimming or dancing or gym exercises.
Have you gone over everything you're eating with your nutritionist?
Lisa
