Lisa, You were reading my mind! I was wondering the same thing. I tossed the idea around then decided against it. I commend all that are doing this. I wish you all the success that you are looking for. Thank you, I have enjoyed reading everyone's responses in regards to this. Allison

I'm not concerned about flipping on a diet switch. I am in diet mode all the time anyways. I looked up the definition of "diet" online tonight and this is what it says... such a selection or a limitation on the amount a person eats for reducing weight...to select or limit the food one eats to improve one's physical condition or to lose weight. By these definitions, I have been "dieting" since October 9th of last year. I have reduced my daily intake of food to lose weight. I have been selective and limited what I eat to lose weight and to treat my obesity. I am constantly thinking about what I am putting in my mouth and YES, at times, I do feel bad about what I eat. The difference now is that I don't sabotage myself like I used to. If I eat a handful of crackers, I don't say "Screw it, I'll start a diet on Monday, so I might as well eat all my favorite foods before then." I plan ahead now when I go somewhere. If it is a potluck, most likely, I will make something that is higher in protein and is something I can eat, rather than the high carb/high calorie foods I used to take to potlucks. I consider that dieting. I know it is a lifestyle change, but it is also a diet. Until I get to my goal weight and am still losing, I am still dieting. That is my opinion. The Five Day Pouch Test was just something that appealed to me and I thought that having a few friends, who may be in the same situation as me (wanting to get the scale moving again after a stall or wanting to get closer to their goal before their surgiversary) might want to join in and we could support each other. It is a TEST...or a DIET...call it what you want, but it is just five days. I don't feel like I am cheating or have fallen off of it if I eat something that is not on the plan. I will get out of this what I put into it. My plan is to flush the carbs out of my system so I don't crave them every day...all day...I hope that by doing this that I can do that. I also hope to lose some weight. Because of the carbs, my scale has been going up and down with the same 4-5 pounds. It was ******g me off, so I decided to try this. I don't know what will happen after the 5th day. I hope that I will start eating my proteins first again and that I will make better choices about snacks, rather than grab something because I am hungry and it is there. I need to get back into keeping better foods handy for me. I understand that the Five Day Pouch Test isn't for everyone. For those that feel like joining in, I hope it was worth it. Hugs, Tabby
