Anyone eaten stuffing? Sweet potatoes? Winter squash of any sort? If yes, how do you prepare these? Any waffles or pancakes or French toast? How much bread can you/do you eat in one sitting? Lisa

LOL, your cracking me up Lisa.. Your making me hungry.. I was on pureed foods only last Thanksgiving. We put stuffing into the magic bullet and made it mush. That was my Thanksgiving meal. but you know what?? It was the best ever!!! I have made it since. my son doesnt really like it.. So we just do without.. Havent tried sweet potatoes ro squash yet either.. Cant eat waffles, pancakes or french toast. not even with sugar free syrup. I think cuz of the bread. sits like a rock.. Well you know, I havent tried waffles, just thought I cant have them.. Maybe I will try a bite next time.. I think I explained my bread issue in the other post. Can only eat half of a hot dog bun.. Luvs and Hugs! Tiff

I eat sweet potatoes. I microwave them until they're soft then slice them up, put a little margarine on them, romano cheese and some breadcrumbs. I bake them another couple minutes and then they're ready to eat. They are yummy!

No stuffing, sweet potatoes or squash. I have had potatoes once in a while prepared different ways. I have had bites of waffles, pancakes and french toast, but never all to myself. When I make them for the kids I take a few bites here and there. Maybe once or twice I had a whole pancake or a waffle. I TRY SO HARD to limit my carbs, but some days just don't do that well. At the fair last week I at a fish sandwich that was on two slices of bread. I ate the whole thing and after I was done thought..."I just ate two slices of bread!" But I got over it and shared a funnel cake with Dave and the kids. It's life, isn't it? I hope I don't sound like a failure since my surgery. I feel like I am living life and am OK with eating treats and breads and pastas once in a while. This is my lifestyle now. Hugs, Tabby

Anyone eaten stuffing? Yes last Turkey Day - plan on having it again this next Turkey Day too... Sweet potatoes? Yes last Turkey Day - plan on having it again this next Turkey Day too... Winter squash of any sort? If yes, how do you prepare these? I eat Yellow Squash and Zucchini all the time. LOVE IT. I make it with onions and butter and saute it in a pan on the stove till soft. YUMO! I love any type of squash ( summer or winter ) but since I am the only one that eats it I don't buy it often. Any waffles or pancakes or French toast? Once in a while the guys have pancakes and I take a bite but they are not one of my favorite foods so I don't think I would/will ever order them for myself... How much bread can you/do you eat in one sitting? I can heat a whole hot dog bun or a whole hamburger bun. But I can only eat like half a sandwich with whole grain bread or half a hogie roll. Depends on the density I guess. *huggles* Felicia =0)

These have been GREAT questions Lisa! Of course, now I see I am much more a carboholic than everyone else. I do eat pasta (whole wheat or "protein" varieties usually) and rice (on occasion) etc. As far as these questions... Anyone eaten stuffing? Yes...last Thanksgiving..probably over holidays this year as well. Sweet potatoes? No - not a big fan of them. Winter squash of any sort? ANY squash, like Felicia I LOOOOOVE IT! Usually I slice it and grill it w/ garlic and olive oil. YUM YUM YUM. I have made spaghetti squash on occasion as well (served w/ a meat sauce - like the "real thing") Any waffles or pancakes or French toast? waffles and French toast..no (not yet). I do have a buckwheat pancake mix that I have used once. I made a double batch. The boy ate about 1/2 of the batch. I ate 2 small onces (topped w/ low fat peanut butter and sugar free syrup). The first time they were great. I froze the rest and tried reheating them.....SOOOOO didn't work! So, I can eat them, but they have to be fresh off teh griddle...and only one or two tiny ones (size of a coaster or smaller) How much bread can you/do you eat in one sitting? one small roll (harder "crusty" rolls seem better..multi grain rolls sit the best).

Hi Lisa, I haven't had any stuffing yet....looking forward to trying a little this Thanksgiving! I have not had waffles -- they are not a favorite of mine...neither are pancakes, but I have had french toast and I can usually eat 1/2 a slice.... When I do have bread -- which I try not to often, because it fills me up so quickly, I try to limit it to one slice...or if we have garlic sticks, I can usually handle 1/2 of one! Holly

I have eaten a small sweet potato. They are better for you nutritionally than other potatoes. I haven't had any squash so to speak. I made a high protein pancake once. Got the recipe from OH. I don't eat any breads really.
