Hump Day Roll Call
Good Morning everyone!!!!
First of all......I posted the tie dye pictures on my photobucket account:

Last night we rinsed out the last of the tie dyes and I think they turned our pretty well.
Today, I am working (as usual), and have Olivia's 6th grade orientation tonight.
Not too much else exciting going on for today.
I DO have to agree that it is getting harder to fight the old habits. I have been doing pretty well, but had quite a few chips over the weekend. I like the soy/flax seed chips from Trader Joe's and they are a better choice, but STILL chips. I made a really good fruity habanero sauce on Monday, so we had to try it.
I have been fighting the urge to graze all the time. It is VERY difficult. I guess we just have to remember that they did surgery on our stomachs, NOT our brains!!!
Keeping everyone in my thoughts!
Dawn
It's hard to believe that it is Wedneday already!
Had a fantastically relaxing evening last night. The Boy had volleyball practice for the church team so dinner had to be quick. Luckily I had the soup I made last week sitting in the freezer, so it was heated up. I made some multigrain garlic bread and broiled some sliced tomoatoes to go with it. The rest of the evening I just relaxed and read some magazines and caught up on my "me time." I was supposed to be heading out to the woods to rescue a geocache that was invaded by bees...but I jsut didn't feel like it! We will go together tomorrow night instead.
Today...I'm at work but...THE PROJECT is DONE! At least the part I was responsible for. There is a meeting going on where they are reviewing the portion I completed. This may result in a "part 2" for me but for now I'm just catching up on the rest of my work.
Tonight we have dinner with friends then I'll head home to catch up on some laundry.
Hey dawn,
it's the late poster here. We've been very busy at the hosp. Lately, delivering baby after baby. But today? Hoooooo raaaaaaaaaaah! I start vacation. We'll, my sister, and six friends are flying out tomorrow to seattle, wa and on Friday we board a ship for a seven day cruise to alaska. Can't wait.
Hope everyone has a great week.
Donna, sfy
Thank goodness it is Thursday. I couldn't live through Tuesday or Wednesday again. they have just been stress laden with the onset of school opening and getting back to business for most of the special education offices. Sigh... Today is my Friday as I am taking tomorrow off. I am having a repeat endoscopy in the morning so I get to come home and sleep off the "drugs". I am hoping they find that the damage to my esophagus has repaired since surgery. We shall see.
Well, I planted a seed of an idea in my mom last night. As I expected, she backed out of leaving the mountains. She really cannot spend another winter up there alone. We had learned that an old friend does do Elder Sitting and I spoke with her. She is willing to work with mom. Now the seed that needs to sprout is for my mother to allow this. I hope I got through to her a little last night. I tried hard not to badger or bully her as my siblings tend to do. I did tell her that I want her to be able to weigh her options and to make an informed decision. She had been getting nasty up to the point I made that statement. I also spoke to her about making arrangements for our little family reunion taking place next week in New Jersey. She panics with good reason about her oxygen availability when she travels. I talked it through to her and I think we came up with a good plan. She needs to call to have oxygen available at the hotel and then to have them also deliver some small tanks for when we are away from the hotel. She was complaining about having to carry so many tanks. I talked to her about what she may really need and how many in case tanks she might bring. I think this helped her a lot.
My youngest son stopped over last night. He had just dropped his room mate off at BWI and then made a mad dash trip back to bring some essential items he had forgotten. His room mate is on his way to Iraq. He is expected to be there about 2 months on an Air Force base. Geoff was visibly shaken by this and just needed some Mom time. I almost had him convinced to take his dog with him. Oh well!
I hope everyone is doing well and staying well. Keep up with the protein and with the fluids!! Now if someone can motivate me to exercise.
