Tuesday Roll Call
Good morning October sisters!!!! (and any lurking brothers....)
We had a pretty wonderful weekend.
We had Riley over since Friday night and Todd took her home this morning on his way to work. Her mom got a bad case of the stomach flu and we didn't want to get the baby sick.
We took her to an outdoor party on Saturday night and she was the "belle of the ball".
We had the tie dye party on Saturday and it was a blast! I still have dye on my feet and hands. I will post some pictures of our creations as soon as I get a chance and let you know when they are up. It is always good to spend time with friends.
Yesterday, we dyed a few more things with a couple of neighbors that could not make it on Sunday. We also cleaned up from the night before and grilled out with the neighbors. Riley developed a runny nose, so she was a tiny bit cranky by bedtime. I think she is catching a cold. I feel bad for my daughter since she is still recovering and now will have a baby with a cold.
Today, It is back to the grindstone here at work.
Everyone keep Holly's family and Lisa in our thoughts along with Felicia who is out adventuring.
What's up with you?
Dawn
Good morning!
We have a nice weekend, we missed spending time with our Princess Raven but are confident we will be seeing her again soon. We went shopping in Erie with our daughter and her friend Sasha on Saturday. Thank goodness for cell phones! We went our went and they went theirs and when they were all finished they called us and we were able to meet them! I went to Sears and they were having wonderful sales -- 60% off clearance prices! I bought a beautiful blouse - originally $30 for $3.99 and a pair of dress pants originally $30 for $7!
The rest of the weekend we managed to get some things done around the house and yesterday we pretty much did nothing, but relax! We did take a couple of walks, so that was nice! LAst week we didn't walk at all because of our d-i-l driving around town trying to locate us and our son!
Daniel met with his attorney this morning -- he was much more confident when he came to my office. His attorney is going to have him consent to the PFA because it will save him a lot of time and trouble in the long run. Tomorrow's hearing is mainly for the PFA but we will get some custody tomorrow of Raven. Once he files for divorce (wonder if they have the shortest marriage in the world??) then will come more custody, etc....I will update tomorrow after the hearing....
I'm back to work today -- it's gorgeous outside....My daughter started school today -- she is a SENIOR this year! My baby will graduate from high school this year!!
Thank you ALL for your support, encouraging words and your prayers!!!
Hugs,
Holly
Hello sistahs!
My thoughts are with Holly. And Lisa, I hope you are feeling better. I just know Felicia is out having the time of her life right now!
This past weekend was fantastic. We were up in the Finger Lakes region of New York the entire time....on Sunday we adventured even further and drove several hours west towards where I went to college. Which, is not too far from Olean NY...I thought of you, Holly - cuz..if I remember correctly Oil City, PA is not too terribly far from there, right?
I was able to cross kayaking off my "things to do" list. It was fun and we are planning on buying kayaks before next summer so we have our own.
Today I am back at my desk - the end of my project is in sight (I promised to have it ready to hand off by 10am tomorrow).
After work I have to trek out to a geocache I own at a park near my parents. It was a little too near a beehive and the last person to find it ended up with about 6 beestings. He removed the cache - rehid it somehwere else and sent me the specifics. I need to go retrieve it and find a safer place to hide it. It will be a nice time, just me and the woods and I'm looking forward to some "me time".
Once I get home, I plan on just catching up on some much needed sleep after this long weekend.
Just finishing up my day at work. Had a hectic weekend. Drove from Arkansas to Kansas on Saturday to help my parents get their house ready to sell. Drove back yesterday from Kansas to Arkansas and arrived home to rush my youngest to football practice. Tonight is football pracite for Abe and marching band practice for Cameron (my oldest). Get to spend a few hours with hubby before he leaves for Texarkana, TX in the morning and back either on Thursday or Friday.
Well...my Tuesday was spent CLEANING!!! I woke up around 2pm and got a call from the bank saying that they were coming over tomorrow around 2pm to do the appraisal on the house. We want to refinance to help pay for my Plastic Surgery. My house was a mess, so I started cleaning and cleaned and cleaned until I left for work. I spent about 15 minutes getting myself ready for work and about 15 minutes to eat. Other than that I was goin'! I know that the house doesn't have to look great for a refi, since we aren't planning on selling, but I still want it to look good if someone is coming over.
Monday we went to the Local Fair. My neice ran for Fair Queen. She didn't win, but she said she had fun. The day revolved around getting her ready and going to the fair to see her. We also let the kids ride on the fair rides. They loved it. Then I had to go to work. YEP...I have to actually travel into the office this week and next week. YUCK!!! It is a 50 mile trip ONE WAY!!! SUCKS!!!! It has been busy at work the past two nights, so not much naptime for me. LOL. Maybe tomorrow night will be better. I am working 5 nights this week (Five 10-hour shifts) and next PLUS I worked the holiday. Can't wait to get this check. I need to work on getting my credit card bills paid in advance some how, so that when I am off for my surgery with Short Term Disablity, I won't fall behind. I spoke with my boss this morning and I think I might take off 3 weeks for my surgery.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Can't wait to see those tie-dyed creations.
Hugs,
Tabby
