Update...infection

I called the gyn this morning; her partner was on call, so got back to me. She took it all very lightly. I told her the whole thing and she told me to take Motrin. I explained that I couldn't take that, having had gastric bypass, and mentioned again that the three percoset barely helped at all. She told me to use a heating pad...no **** she really did! Then she told me to call the office tomorrow and someone could "probably" see me. Instead, I went down to PA Hospital, where I'd had my surgeries. I have a urinary tract infection and, while they couldn't say definitively, they said that it could and very likely was brought on by the procedure I had. So, they gave me an antibiotic and more pain meds and said I should feel better in a few days. They also gave me the number for their gyn dept, as I said I wasn't returning to the one I'd seen. I'm really pissed off about the whole thing. And still feeling pretty crappy. And MUST go to work tomorrow. Thanks, folks, for caring. It means a lot. Lisa

Lisa, I'm so sorry you're feeling so rotten and that you had such a sucky experience w/ that gyn Dr. I'm so glad you went to the er and they were able to help. Before long you'll be on the road to recovery. Although you already drink alot because of our surgery try to increase your fluid intake. Try some diet cranberry juice, that helps alot. Keep up posted on how you're doing. Donna, sfy

OH NO, LISA!!!! I'm so sorry to hear that you got an infection from the procedure. Also sorry to hear that your gyn's office told you to use a heating pad...like that would clear up what you have going one, let alone, ease the pain that the perc's aren't touching. I hope that you start feeling better soon and that the new gyne treats you better. Take care. Hopefully the pain eases a bit before you go to work tomorrow. Hugs sweetie, Tabby

Lisa, I'm sorry you are not feeling well. Hopefully once the antibiotics kick in your pain will go away. As far as your gyn., they should be ashamed of themselves! You should definitely consider finding a new doctor. Hope you feel better soon Allison
