Wednesday Roll Call
I didn't have the energy before my surgery. I'm much better now. I used to just have 2 good days a week that I felt like doing anything, now I wake up feeling good almost every day, no matter how much sleep I get.
I work on a helpdesk for a major health care system in Pittsburgh. We get calls from all of the hospitals that we own for computer support. If someone forgets their password, their printer is jammed, their mouse is broken, their phones don't work (yep, we even do phones). The hospitals are staffed 24/7, so we have to be, too. I work from home and just wait for the phone to ring with a problem for me to fix. Some nights are busy and some nights I may go an hour or two between calls. Last night as soon as I hung up from one call, the line was ringing again. Tonight there should be 3 of us on the phones, so it is usually a nice night. Our phone system can see who has been off the phone the longest and that person gets the next call coming in. Sometimes I nap between calls, watch movies, do laundry, clean my kitchen, even have been known to fool around with hubby...LOL...I tell him I am like a prostitute, getting paid to have sex, since I am on the clock. LMAO.
Now that I work from home, everyone is jealous of me and wants my job. I have had friends over to visit and I can visit with them in between calls. They just laugh at me. I had told them about my job, but until they were here when I was working, they didn't believe how easy it was. LOL. I'll probably keep this job until they kick me out.
Have a good one!!!

Good morning! I guess it is Thursday. What a week this has been! I was quite busy in the office once again. Same old- same old. At least today I didn't have to deal with any nasty people.
I have been experiencing some bad back pains to go along with my shoulder and hip pain. Coincidentally, I ha made an appointment to see a chiropractor. I saw him yesterday for my first real treatment. He discussed his plan with me and got things started. I didn't realize it when I maade this appointment that this guy travels with the Ravens for their pain issues. He cracked me in 3 places and had me undergo some physical therapy also. I am supposed to see him 3 times a week for a month and then drop it to teice a week after that.
I must say that I am feeling considerably better this morning. It isn't excruciating for me when I turn or even as I try to take a deep breathe. I think this may do the trick as long as I stop tripping over things. I tripped over someone's bookbag in the office yesterday. I felt myself falling. I would have gone down right on my face if my son who is still working in my office hadn't been right there and caught me. Luckily, we didn't have any visitors in the room at the time as I let out an expletive at the time I was starting to fall. Oh well!
I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday!
