I was supposed to ride a roller coaster this past weekend...

BUT I DIDN'T!!! We were supposed to go to Geauga Lake in Aurora, OH this past weekend with the kids and our friends. We drove up on Saturday and got a room for the night, so we would only have a 10 minute drive to the park in the morning and we could spend more time there. I was watching the forecast all week and it wasn't looking good for Sunday. When we woke up in our hotel room on Sunday it was POURING DOWN RAIN!!! The weather showed lots and lots of rain going through that day. We didn't even drive over to the park. We went outlet shopping then headed home. Spent more $$$ shopping than we would have at the park. LOL. I was so disappointed. I was really looking forward to trying out the roller coasters and the waterslides. I may have to wait until next summer now. Boo Hoo, Tabby

I am so sorry Tabby! I would have been terribly dissapointed. Hopefully you will discover some free weekend before the end of season where you can get your rollercoaster ride. The rain was horribe here as well on Sunday. My husband and I were asked to help teach a workshop for the county parks and recreation department. We were hoping folks would stay away because of the weather...but they didn't. We ended up spending 3 hours traipsing around deep in the woods in the pouring rain teaching people how to use GPS technology. We were SOAKED. I've not been able to get completely warm since.

OH NO!!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry!! To be so close to crossing off a goal must be maddening!! BUT you WILL ride it next year. And WOW what a WOW to look forward to!!! I just can NOT wait to read that post. Look how fast this past year goes. If this next year keeps going that fast your ride on the coaster will be here before you know it!!! *HUGGLES* Felicia =0)

Hi Tabby, That was something I really wanted to do this year as well, but the wedding took up most of our time and MONEY!! Something to look forward to next year!! Hugs, Holly

That is a disappointment Tabby. I think riding the coasters again, is probably pretty high up on peoples goals lists. Next year will be just as fun though! The anticipation will be the best. Kind of like a kid at Christmas!

Tabby, I'm so sorry that you didn't get to do it. I got to ride this past weekend in Las Vegas with my best friend! It had been over 18 years since either of us had ridden (we rode last time together too.) I was so worried about fitting after what happened the last time (http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/signgurl/uzone,blog/action,comments/blog_id,68758/blog_p ost_id,68006/). I walked up the huge flight of stairs (a feat in itself) and asked the guy working what I should do if I don't fit. He said, "Honey, why wouldn't you fit? You are gorgeous and I'd be ashamed to walk down the street with you, only because I'm so ugly." He made my whole trip. I cannot begin to tell you the excitement I felt as we climbed that first big hill. It was a glorious day. Maybe my best since WLS. I hope you get to ride the coaster soon. It's an excellent feeling.
