I MADE THE CALL!!!

For the last couple of weeks I have been reading about some of you making your calls and appointments for PS and I have thought "good for them!!! wish I could make the call!" Last night we were watching Big Medicine on TLC -- the one where they do WLS and plastic surgery -- it was actually kind of gross. One lady had 15 pounds of excess skin removed from her behind!! But she looked absolutely wonderful after the surgery!!!! I sat there and watched it with my hubby and I said, "I have extra skin you know..." and he said, "Yes, I know and I also know that it bothers you...." I didn't say anything else.... Well, this morning, I made the CALL!!! I have an appointment at 3:30 pm on September 17 and you know what, I am SCARED TO DEATH!! I don't remember being this scared when it was time for my GB!! I knew I could share this with all of you!!! Thank you for listening!! Hugs, Holly

Good for you! That is such a tough call and one that I haven't made yet. I am freaked out about making the call. I only have 5 pounds to lose before I reach my goal of being "normal". I think that is when I will make the call. Good luck with the appointment. Tara

Holly, Congratulations! Making the call was the hardest part. I'm sitting here one week out from my TT & BL/BA. I am so happy with the results. Even with the post-op swelling I look amazing (OMG, did I just say that?). I look in the mirror and can't believe it's really me. You are going to be so glad you made the call. I know you're scared, I was too. But you can do this and you won't regret it. Annette

GOOD FOR YOU!! I have my consultation on Thursday, Aug 23rd at 3:00pm. I'm scared to death my insurance will say "NO" but I won't know till I try.

Hi Holly!! Congrats on making the call!! I'm so excited for you!!! I'm having to wait till I get to VA to make that call....and I'm really impatient about it!! As for the lady on Big Medicine....I met her Saturday in Houston. She looks FABULOUS in person and is super duper sweet!! I went to a dinner that they do up there every now and then and got to meet a LOT of people I have been "talking with" on the TX Message Board. Did you see Ramon on Big Medicine? He was at the dinner also....and I think there were a couple others, I just forget who now. LOL Plus, I met some people who are going to be on Season 2. About being scared of plastics....everyone I've talked with has said the same thing. That this part scared them more than the WLS. But, they say afterwards you are SOOOOO glad you went thru it. So, come here, share, vent, whatever you need to do, and know we love you and understand. And, go have them done!!!!! Make yourself feel great!!! Big hugs to you sweetie!!!!! And, lots of love too!! Congrats Holly!!! I know what you mean about being nervous. I was fine until I actually was headed into my dr's office the day of the appt. Now I am a big bundle of nerves. Thanks for remembering I had my consult and asking how it went. You are such a sweetie. I hope all goes well with your appt. Who are you going to? Anyone in Pgh? What are you wanting to have done?
