Ab help??
I'm posting this to multiple boards because I need answers!
Ok, I understand the extra skin and I'm doing my best with what I've got. Lots of walking, step climbing, squats, weights, etc. But I hate my upper abdomen!
People who know how much weight I;ve lost have been scolding me to wear smaller clohtes, but the problem is...my abs are...lumpy!
It doesn't seem to be shrinking at the same rate all over and it looks weird. I don't want to show that off! There must be something I can do!
Anyone got any good exercises I can do at home? I've got one of those big exercise balls and some handweights, if they're any help for this. I also have sciatica, which has improved immensely with my weight loss, but still limits me as far as sit-ups.
I'd be grateful for some suggestions!

Hi Lisa!!
From one lumpy ab girl to another...I have no idea of any exercises to do to help with the loose and lumpy skin.
HOWEVER.....LYCRA is a WLS girl's best friend. I have a "body brief" I bought at Wal-Mart ($16) that I wear underneath my form fitting clothes. It holds everything in place and works well. No rolls visible at all!!! I have also heard Spanx is great, but is a bit more expensive.
Hope this helped!!

Lisa,
Yes, I wear it frequently. It does take a few times to really feel comfortable in it at first. But, now I wear them all the time. Especially as I enjoy wearing more form fitting clothes these days. The key is to buy it in the right size. When I first bought one, I went up a size, but now I buy the correct size and it feels good. Like I said, it took a while to get accustomed to it as I hadn't worn ANYTHING in years that was tight, so it was a shock to the system at first. Yes, I could breathe in it, but eating was a different story. Now I love it and wouldn't think of going without it. I can't wait to have PS though and never need to wear one again. LOL

I to need some work on my abs just haven't done it. I use to go to a class and one of the ab exercises was a lot like push ups. You would be in the push up positiion and hold in your abs for as long as you could (I hope I have explained it where you get the general idea). This doesn't put pressure on your back like sit ups do. I hope this helps some.
