Time to fess up and tell what is your "hurdle" in this WLS journey.
OK I know it is the time when we have our weight loss slowing down. Let's all do some confessing. It may help us work on that area a little more.
My biggest problem is water (fluids) I have never been able to drink all the water I am supposed to! I am in awe of all you ladies who can actually get the water in. When I drink an entire bottle in one sitting I actually feel like I am drowning. I feel the water creeping back up my throat. I can't explain how weird this feels. So I am a sipper. Then I seem to forget about it and don't fini**** By the end of the day I realize that I am lucky if I have had only 2 bottles of water.
So I need to Drink more! I will drink 3 bottles of water (or that amount of fluids) today!! I will work up from there.
Next.....
Love Tara
Water is easy for me to drink. I'm drinking about 12 to 16 cups a day. My problem is Popcorn. I love it at night as a snack. I know it has no protein, but I just can't give it up. I still don't touch sugar or carbs. So I figour that I can endulge in it. I just try to eat 100 calories of it. Well sometimes I go over if I'm going to be truthful..... By the way the water is easier for me to drink if I add Crystal Light to it. Maybe this will help your intake of the water. Good Luck!!!!
Water---no problem. Protein----no problem.
Exercise-----HUGE problem.
Not that I don't exercise at all......just not nearly as much as I should. I am WAY more active that I was able to be before, but I just can't seem to carve out the time to exercise properly.
I thought I had it licked when I got a stationary bike that I could ride in front of the TV. I hardly EVER get to watch TV, so it was a treat to bike and watch for 1/2 and hour to 45 minutes. Then, summer came!!!! Now, I don't seem to be home between band practices, softball games, and where ever else I need to take the kids or meet the hubby. By the time I get home, it is bed time.
Thank you Tara for this thread----confession IS good for the soul.
I wish I had some tips for getting all the water in for you. Crystal Light, citrus squeezed in, and just make sure to keep it near you at all times. I always had a bottle near me, even "before", so I do not have any problem with getting it in, but if I were you, I would be afraid of dehydration. (Actually, I AM afraid of dehydration......)
Please have a lovey evening all,
Dawn
Well, i have some faults
Water - not a problem, I get between 90-120oz of fluids a day, including water, propel, protein drinks with mil****d coffee's and crystal light
Protein - not so much a problem now that I've added in 1 -2 shakes a day
Exercise - BIG problem I hate to exercise, but I park in the farthest lot at work, try to walk a few times a week during lunch (30 minutes each) and I do a paper route with my daughter on Sunday's that is about an hour's worth of walking.
I snack ...there, I said it. I love popcorn and eat it in the evenings. I snack at work sometimes, but I've stopped bringing change to work and started drinking more during my breaks. not sure if that helps, but I'm working on it.
These are reasons that I'm probably still stuck and only losing 1lb per week. I have a ways to go still and feel so utterly stuck, it sucks. I have to stop the snacking in the evenings, that is what is really getting to me then maybe I can pick up the pace again

Alright...I'll fess up.
I do OK with my water some days, but not most days. I'm working on that. I notice a change in my weight when I pay closer attention to my water intake.
I am getting better about my protein. For a while I was not drinking any protein shakes and the scales did not move. Well, lately I have been working on getting in more protein and the scales have started moving again.
Snacks...I am getting bad at grazing. I have been trying to get better snacks in the house so when I do snack it is something good for me. I'm trying.
EXERCISE...THERE IS MY REAL PROBLEM!!! I have not been exercising at all lately. I do jump on the trampoline lately, but probably not enough to benefit me at all. I know I need to do it, but just haven't. I have never been good at exercising. I wish I enjoyed it. URGH!!!!
Hugs,
Tabby
My fluid consumption could be better too. It was great till I went back to work a few months ago...sometimes I get so busy and I just forget!
I do find that I still have to be careful with carbs. I rarely eat bread and then it's wheat toast or the like, nothing unhealthy. But crackers, cereal, pretzels, that sort of thing...I still want to pick at them, which is bad. If I find I'm doing this, I will not buy the item again for a month or so...or ever, depending.

i graze ... i hardly drink any water ... i go to aqua classes twice a week in a good week.
it is easier to eat carbs than proteins ... i have about two spoonfuls of cake and wa**** down with bitter black tea to prevent dumping ... i crave salty crisps ... i crave lemons even though i am allergic to it ... it is so ice cold here this winter that i spend every available moment at home in bed with the electric blanket :D watching tv ... somedays i hardly have protein ... my grazing has gotten so bad that i bought a herbal appetite suppressant for some days to keep me in check at my work ... i have been constantly sick with the flu lurking in the background even though i have had two flu injections already.
i have gone a bit anti social, not saying 'hi' to people to know in the mall, cos lets face it, they dont recognise me in any case since i have lost weight.
on a positive note though ... i take my vitamins religiously :D
