stuck in a rut for a long time Boy sure need some help from all of you! I am 20 lbs from goal and really stuck. I find myself eating at night like I used to. I eat mostly protein but for 8 months I wasn't eating at night at all. Maybe I am watching too much TV at night. Trying to exercise and usually do something everyday. I have lost 85 lbs since I started the WLS process. How many carbs and calories is the daily average for all of you? What kind of exercise do you do? Do you stop eating at 7 pm or 8 pm? Anything I can do to get out of this rut and into the losing game again.? I have stayed the same for 3 months. I appreciate any help. Thanking all of you in advance. I know I should e-mail more but I think all of you have such great ideas and are very supportive. I do not go to a support group. Do any of you go to the obesityhelp.com seminars? Thinking of going to one in August to find out about plastic surgeons. I am stuck with an abdominal roll and it just won't go away even with exercise. Thinking liposuction but my girlfriend says it is definitely a tummy tuck - on my gosh that sounds too painful! Need help in California - Karen

Hi Karen!! About the night time eating. I've been having some problems with that too. The main thing I do is to either try to eat PROTEIN when I just have to have something OR I drink lots of water. As long as I fill the pouch, I do okay. Hope you are able to get over your stall soon. As for calories....I am trying to get between 800-1000 calories per day now. My weight loss has slowed to about 1-2 pounds per week, which is fine by me. Not really doing anything for exercise right now as it's sooooo hot in South Texas right now. Can't wait to get back to it. I know I could do the videos (have plenty of them) but I'm not much for exercising in front of the tv. Would rather walk/run/whatever outside!! Good luck!! Susan

Good morning Susan - thank you so much for your advice. I really appreciate it. You have helped me a lot with the solution. Sticking to a small piece of cheese or beef jerky at night will do the trick. It's amazing, I mean for 7-8 months I wouldn't think of eating at night and here comes my old habits again. Also I don't think I am consuming enough calories in the daytime - maybe 750 daily. It's also hot in CA but we are use to it this time of year. Lots of fires going here that are left to just burn out unless they are in residential areas. Our mountain bears are coming down for food in towns here which is unusual for us but probably due to fires and housing. We have evaded their territory. I know what you mean about exercising. To hot to go outside. I'm staring at some weeds in the backyard but don't want to get out in the heat. Have a nice day and thank you so much for helping me. Is your husband at home now? Karen in CA
