Iron Infusion

Has anyone had to have this done? I have one scheduled for Monday morning, the 16th. I was fine with it until they said that I'd have to bring someone with me to drive me home!!!! Now I am a bit anxious. I understand that it is an I.V. treatment that may take up to 6 hours, but WHAT does it feel like? Why do I need a driver afterwards? I thought the point was to make me feel BETTER and not so tired all the time....... Thanks for any input you can share! Dawn

Big hugs to you Dawn!!! Hope you are soon able to settle your nerves and feel better about it all. I haven't had this done, so I am no help in telling you anything about it. Maybe you could talk to the doctor or nurse about it and get more info?? Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing! Susan
