...that fits??? I know the "official" way of fitting for a bra, but it does NOT work for me! Maybe it's due to the extra skin or my current shape, but whatever it is, I cannot seem to get a bra that fits me properly! I could pick up a dozen in the same size and they would all fit me differently. I'm gettiing really sick of this! Anyone else having a problem or found a way around it? Lisa

How I buy a bra...I go to T J Maxx and grab everything from the rack in a 36C, 36D, 34C and 34D and try them on one after another. I make three piles - NO, YES, and MAYBE. NOs go back to the sales floor. YESs (and there are darn few of them) go into my shopping cart. MAYBEs get tried on a second time if there is nothing in the YES pile. I usually try on 12-15 bras at a time and am lucky to leave with one. But when I find one that fits - I try to buy every one I can find like it. I have my best success with Bali bras. Not sure why...but they seem to have better support, more fabric on the sides (to help guide some of that under-the-arm flab into the cups), and the full coverage cup is the only way to go since my breasts are "depressed" and anything that used to bulge out the top now just puddles in the bottom of the cup and leaves sad wrinkles on the top. I take tissues with me in the dressing room. No, not to stuff my bra, but for all the tears of frustration. Feeling your pain, Annette

Annette, thank you. I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with this too, but kinda glad to know I'm not alone! This sounds like what I may have to do next...a good way to spend an afternoon, I guess...sigh... Lisa

Lisa... I'm having the same problem. I just bought my fourth bra this MONTH (and it's only the 5th) that doesn't fit. At least 3 of them are too small, so I'm hoping to get to wear them soon. The one I got today was a size larger than the last one I got that was just a bit too small....this one is the same style, brand, everything and is way too huge. Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and actually try them on at the store. NOT looking forward to that....But, if I get a bra that actually fits, it looks like that is my only alternative because going without is NOT an option!! LOL Susan

Susan, I've also got four at home that are too small and a bunch that are too big. I got "fitted" at a department store, but, like I said, it didn't work for me. I don't think there is a proper fitting method for post-wls! I'll bet we could get rich if we could come up with one! Lisa

I went to www.brasize.com and typed in the measurments and it told me what size to buy and that was how I finally found one that fit me right.

Wow, do I know where you are coming from. I would try to find one at the department stores, Wal Mart, KMart and could not find one to fit me. So I bit the bullet and went and got sized at a lingere store, Lady Godiva. They got me into the right size but I did not buy it as the bra was $54. Knowing how quickly my shape is changing, I could not justify buying it. But I then did go back to the department stores, knowing the correct size for me and found some there, cheaper. I still do not get the lift that I need, but it is getting better it seems. I just could not figure out the right size to buy so I got it done professionally and it helped. No wonder my old bras were not fitting I went from a 54DD to now a 44B. DUH. Nothing is comfy though, but I have to wear it anyway. Hope this helps some. Take care......Gay

I would go to a Penny's or a store ike that to be fitted. Victoria Secret will also fit you. Just because they fit you doens't mean you have to buy. I haven't found a bra yet that makes my saggy girls look nice and perky again. I suppose I will have to just keep going with the flow. I was lucky and got several bras at a flea market. 6 for $20. I need to go again as I am falling out of them ir I should say sliding out. lol I am certainly not used to having a too small boob issue. LOL

we only go up to F cups in south africa and it is too small for me. so i buy a bigger bra, eg, 44F and stitch the band down to 38 to get a proper cup size. of course, not all bras can be stitched down ... i am sitting with a $% load of absolutely stunning bras that just dont fit right!

Lisa, Looks like we are all in the same boat here. I have bought more bras since my surgery than I have in probably ten years! I have so many, I have lost count. I am also having the problem with getting them to fit with the extra sagging skin under the arms. Just because someone needs a smaller cup doesn't mean we don't need the wider band! Anyway. I have found, for now, that I do pretty good with Lane Bryant's Cacique bras. They are padded, so I don't have to worry about the wrinkles from my boobs not being big enough. (Never thought I would have that problem, lol). I have gone from a 54DD to a 42C. I could really use a B cup, but then I don't have enought band. This is what's working for me for the moment. Can't wait to have a yard sale. Hehe. I have plenty of bras to get rid of! Love and hugs everyone, Sherry
