Abnormal MRI
Well, I got through the MRI. Their doctor read it and sent the report to my surgeon this afternoon. My surgeon wasn't in, but I spoke with his nurse.
As she read it, they still didn't know exactly what it was, but it doesn't look normal. They recommend a biopsy.
After beating on my walls and screaming and cussing for a few minutes, I took a walk...I got about six blocks or so before it hit me that, my god, it must be 100 degrees out there...I walked till I had no more energy...and felt kinda sick by the time I got back...I am so angry. I just got my life back and there's no bloody way I'm giving it up, not one moment of it.
So...what should I ask and/or tell my surgeon when we speak tomorrow?
Lisa
Lisa,
Girl, I am so sorry to hear that they don't think it looks normal. But, remember, just because it doesn't "look" normal doesn't mean something is wrong. Now is the time to stay strong and focus on what you need to do to be as healthy as possible.
Tomorrow, when you see your doctor, ask for ALL the info he has from today's test. Then find out how quickly a needle biopsy can be done. (I'm assuming that's what they are recommending.) Once you have those results, then you will know what you are actually dealing with.
Please keep us informed on how things are going. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you go thru all this. Wish I was closer so I could be of more tangible help.... But, as I am in TX, I'll just send you a big cyber hug {{{{{{{{{{Lisa}}}}}}}}}}

LISA,
HONEY, I'M SO SORRY YOU'VE GOTTEN AN ABNORMAL REPORT. RIGHT NOW YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN WITH YOUR FAMILY AND COMPOSE A LIST OF QUESTIONS YOU, AND THEY MAY HAVE FOR YOUR SURGEON, THIS WAY YOU DON'T FORGET.
1) WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP? A NEEDLE BIOPSY? (hope so)
2) HOW SOON CAN IT BE DONE? AND HOW SOON CAN WE GET THE RESULTS
3) WHAT DOES HE THINK THE REPORT IS ACTUALLY SAYING?
4) WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
LISA PLEASE KEEP UP POSTED ON EVERY STEP OF YOU JOURNEY, KNOW THAT YOU'RE NOT ALONE AND THAT YOU'LL BE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
DONNA, SFY
Lisa,
My heart and prayers are with you. I have been there and done that and like Susan said just because it look a certain way does not mean that is what it is. Keep a positive outlook.. Hugs hugs are coming your way.
I am right there on the just got your life back thing.... BUT keep positive...believe me it makes all the difference! OK enough of the trying to make you feel better. If you want to come beat on my walls you can or if you want a shoulder to cry on you can do that too. Just do not get them mixed up.
Keep your chin up... Keep us updated on how you are doing.
Hugs Hugs,
Melissa
