I am pretty new to the forums on stuff on OH. I had surgery October 10 and have lost 120 lbs. Started at 307 and currently weight 187. I am currently at a plateau I suppose. I haven't lost a lb in about 4 weeks. I am just hoping that is kicks back up again. Either way, I am so excited about the new me. I started losing hair about 2 months out and am still losing a little bit. It has slowed down in the past month. I figured it slowed because I can finally get about 1000-1200 calories in a day.. Anyone else having issues with hair loss still?

Hello Renee and welcome! I joined this forum several months post op as well. This is a great bunch of women. Their weight loss has been remarkable. You are also doing wonderfully! Congratulations! I know you will enjoy reading about this group's successes and triumphs. I am still losing hair. I cut my hair from waist length to shoulder length recently, because I couldn't deal with the "fallout!" My surgeon assures me that this too shall pass. I think the length of the hair that was falling out was part of the shocking appearance of all the hair in the shower drain, clogging up the vacuum cleaner, falling on the floor -- I was shedding like a cat! I am sure that mine (and yours) will stop falling out soon!

HI Guys! I too have lost alot of hair! Seems like even though it is still falling out I am getting lots of new growth! Funny thing is! It's a different color and texture than my old hair! I always had fine hair! This hair is much thicker and seems to have a lot more body to it! It's kinda weird! But I'll take it! I have new hair all around my hairline and I can feel lil *****lys all over my scalp! WOOOHOOO! May not need a wig after all!

Yup still losing hair here. But I am growing back in new hair just as fast so I don't worry about it. I have always "lost" hair though so I would say I am probably back to a "normal" amount of loss. I would just hang tough with it. I am sure it will stop for you soon. Felicia =0)

My hair loss started at about 3 months out. It's slowed down a whole lot now and I even have some growing back in. You've heard it before, surely, but protein is the key! Lisa
