We had a get-together for my VSG surgery buddies

Hi everyone. Saturday, we had a get together in Sacramento for some of us who had the VSG surgery (or who are pre-op and waiting for approvals). We have become good friends online. Several drove 50-100 miles to attend! I posted some photos on my profile, under the album "Nanopalooza" Our buddy Nan came down from Washington, so we called the party Nanopalooza. I'm the one in the green T shirt, usually with my eyes closed! Thought you might want to take a look at the nutty women I spent the weekend with.

Thanks Felicia! It was great to finally "see" everyone. Isn't it funny how this experience creates friendships and bonds that are so powerful?

Thanks Susan. We DID have so much fun! These are women that I would have enjoyed spending time with under any cir****tances - but the fact that we are on this WLS journey together is such a bond. We are planing another get-together in October at a local quilt show.

Your pictures remind me of the Maryland group here. We have all had differnt types of surgeries at different times. We get together once a month for some outing. We are also having a summer activity at a park. I am looking forward to it. I love out gatherings each month. Aime

Hi Aime! How nice to have a group that you can meet with, in person, for support and inspiration. I'm hoping that this group turns into something like that for me.
