I'm back!!

Hey yall! I finally got my computer set up at my sister's house. I have missed yall like crazy! And it looks like I missed a lot of interesting stuff too! I didn't realize how addicted to OH I was until I couldn't get online! It is true that I can't get through this journey without you guys. I am staying with my sister until my new house gets built. We are in the same subdivision, so I get to walk down the street and keep an eye on what is going on. It gives me a chance to get some walking in too. My sister's house has an upstairs, so I am getting in some extra exercise there. There is also a pool at the end of our street, but I haven't had the courage to go down there yet. It is crazy, last year I was 367 pounds and put on a bathing suit and got on the beach at Myrtle Beach without caring about what people thought about me, well I did, but I got out there anyway. But, now that I am 247, I can't bring myself to do it. I am in a smaller suit, so, I should be able to do this. What gives with that??!! Anyway, the closing on the house is August, so I can't wait to get in my new house. Today is my 8 month post op. I have not lost any weight this month. As a matter of fact, I am actually up to 249. It has been this way all month. I have been bouncing around between 247 and 254! Grr. It is making me crazy! I have noticed that I can eat more these days. But, I try to eat good stuff. I am having a hard time with water, so maybe that is my problem. I hate to think that this is all that I am going to lose. I hope it starts back up soon. My surgeon's group had the 2007 Patient Reunion this past Saturday. It was at Six Flags over Georgia!! We had a blast! I haven't been to an amuzement park since I was 17! I was so excited that I could actually ride the rides! But, I had to chicken out on some cause it looked too scary for me. We walked so much and I was able to do it without any problems. It was hot though! They served us lunch and we got t-shirts. My husband and all my kids were there, my sister and her husband and son was there. It was an awesome day! I can't wait to see what they have lined up for next year! Even though my weight loss has kinda stopped right now, I am still enjoying the benefits of what I lost so far. I have ran into a few people that didn't know I had the surgery and I am getting some really nice compliments. It is great! I am looking forward to my birthday this year. Normally, I don't. But, for some reason, I am this year. It doesn't bother me that I am turning 43 this year. I feel so much younger than that. With my hair getting very thin and a few more wrinkles on my face, I look older now, but I don't feel older! My husband is treating me to a day full of events, don't know yet what is in store. I can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve! This should be lots of fun! I will let you guys know what we did. Well, I guess I have bored you guys enough. Just wanted to catch up on what has been going on with me. Hopefully now I can keep up with what is up in here! Congrats to everyone on your weight loss, and WOW moments! WOW sounds like you have been busy BUT in a VERY good way! The new house is exciting. You will have to keep us updated on that one. I am sure that you will get back to loosing again. Up the water that always works and it is good for you. I am so glad you have had such a great time. Sounds like you are having an awesome time with your new found freedom! Glad you are back with us! It is so nice to see you back on board. I know how scarey the bathing suit thing can be! I haven't had one on in years. I would just on the beach or by the pool, like some beached white whale and watch the kids from the side lines. I am not sure if I will be able to do it this year or not. I am packing my suit for a trip that I will be taking in a week. Who knows if this will be the year or not. I have heard that tanned cellulite looks better than the white style so I am contimplating a spray on tan??? But then I laugh when I think of the "tan lines" you know the girls would leave some interesting marks on the tummy! hehehe Tara

WOW Sherry...you have so much going on. Congrats on the New house. How exciting that must be. I want a new house...LOL. I like in an old house with plastered walls that are cracked and I hate it. I like parts of it, but I want NEW!!! I've said something about wanting a new house in front of my son to one person or another and now he says it all the time. He told Dave last week that he wants a new house because the one we have has cracks in it and he doesn't like it anymore. Too funny. The amusement park sounds like a blast. I will be doing one or two this summer. I can't wait. I want to go to King's Island and a local park. I need to try a roller coaster. I can't wait. Go for it and get a bathing suit and get in the pool!!! It'll be good for you. I know I was leary about getting a suit because of all of the hanging skin, but I figured it looks better than all of the fat I sported in the past several years. We can do this!!!
