OT Proud Momma moment

Hello All I have to share that my beautiful little girl has been taking ballet class for about 6 months and she was formally asked to try out for the competitive dance troupe. At first I thought that it was a thing where all the girls got asked (you know a money grab) but I have since found out that she was the only girl to be asked and that no other child has been asked during the first year of classed. I am very proud of her. She is in a recital all weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will be a busy taxi this weekend but I will have lots of fun doing so! Oh, Tara...that is GREAT!!! You must be so proud. I know what you mean about the money grab...especially with dance...but I'm glad that wasn't the case. I know Meg will love Dance when she is old enough, but I don't want to get into the $$$ thing with it. My 5 yr old neice is in dance and had a recital this weekend. They asked her to carry the cards to announce act two and something else and my SIL had to buy an extra costume for that. She said it was $100 for a costume for her to wear just for that. I'd have said NO WAY!!! Especially when she already had a nice costume for her dance. Hope the recitals go well and you have a fun time watching all of the dancers. Hugs, Tabby
