Good morning!
Thank you everyone for you well thoughts and wishes! My surgery went well on Friday. The doctor was running behind, so instead of having surgery at 11:45 I didn't get into the OR until 1:45! I ended up spending the night at the hospital and got home yesterday morning about 10:30. The doctor was able to do my surgery laproscopic...he said he was pleasantly surprised to see that I had minimal scar tissue after my previous surgeries! I'm "sore" but not really in a lot of pain, unless I move the wrong way....The only restriction I have is that I am not allowed to lift anything over 20 lbs for at least a month...that's not too bad! On the down side, after all the air they pumped into me to get to the gallbladder, I have a TON of gas and my stomach is still bloated...according to my scales it says I gained 7 lbs! I know it will go back to normal in a couple of days!!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Holly
HOLLY,
SO GLAD TO SEE EVERYTHING WENT GREAT W/ YOUR GALLBLADDER SURGERY AND THAT YOU'RE HOME.
JUST THINK, IF YOU NEED TO PICK UP ANYTHING HEAVY YOU'LL HAVE TO ASK FOR HELP OR SAY, " I'M SORRY THAT'S TO HEAVY FOR ME TO LIFT."
DON'T STRESS OVER THE 7 POUND WEIGHT GAIN. ALOT, IF NOT ALL IS PROBABLY A COMINATION OF RETAINED GAS AND FLUID. THE MORE YOU WALK THE BETTER OFF YOU ARE W/ MOVING THE GAS OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM.
TAKE IT EASY AND DON'T OVER DO IT.
DONNA
Glad surgery went well. I have to say I get so jealous when I see people that haad gall bladder surgery laproscopically. I have a huge scar down the side of my belly. Grrrrr. My sister had the same surgeon as I did for the same surgery. She has a little cut.
Sorry- just a groan. I guess I should let it go after what 30 years LOL.
Hugs and keep healing!!!!!!

OK checked in today to see how things went. So glad there was a post from you. I am so glad things went smooth. That is awesome that he could do it lap. If there is gas pain just remember what they told us with the surgery. Laying on the left side helps. Not sure why but that is what they told us and it worked. I hope the pain is very minimal.
Gets lots of rest and get better real soon!!!
Hugs and so glad things went well,
Melissa
