As of today I no longer have a single item of clothing that requires cloths pins to hold them onto hangers. It took me a long time to "release" them but I did it this morning. From this moment on I will no longer look into my closet and see the rows and rows of cloths pins that used to have to be used to hold every single shirt I owned on a hanger. Never did understand why they make shirts for over weight people with necks big enough to fit around most normal peoples waists. As fat as I got I never ever did have a neck to fill out the neck holes in any of the shirts I had lol. Anyways thats my WOW for the day. It was harder then I thought to take those clothes down and put them away to be donated. I always thought I would be so happy and excited to go down in sizes, which I am, but it was something about "those clothes" that was hard. Like putting away old friends that were always there to "try" and protect me. Silly I know but true. Anyways I have a bundle of clothes pins to find a new job for. Maybe holding up those new pool towels I will be using finally this year *grin* to dry on the cloths line after MUCH MUCH use!! lol Thanks for reading.. *huggles* Felicia =0)

Woooo hoooooo Felicia!!!!!!!! WTG on getting rid of those clothes and finding a new use for those pins!!!! Isn't it nice to have all that extra room in your closet?? I know what you mean about saying goodbye to them though. I felt like I was giving away friends with some of my favorites...but when they wouldn't even stay ON, I couldn't find a reason to keep them anymore. Susan

LOL ok so good to hear I was not the only one with a clothes pin collection That made me laugh.....I totally understand that one. What a great feeling to be rid of all of them. I never thought that it would be hard to get rid of those "security blankets" either. SO glad you did. You are getting so tiny there is no way that you need them anymore. You new pictures are amazing and I think the idea of the towels holders is a great one! What a great new use!!! GREAT WOW MOMENT!!! Hugs, Melissa

Felicia, I understand your feelings about the old clothes. Sitting next to my desk is a stack about 3 feet high, waiting for me to tell them good bye. Aren't we silly? Nope, not at all. You have inspired me to take them to the car and deliver them all to charity tomorrow. I did volunteer work and noticed the large clothes were very much in demand but the donations were mostly smaller sizes. You have reminded me that somebody else can get good use out of my old friends. Thanks!!!!!

Yup here to. You always see small clothes but never the larger sizes. They are always very happy to get what ever I bring down, sadly. I always wonder who get them. Are they as unhappy and feeling as terrible as I was? Do they wish there was a way out like I did? You almost want to hook an OH card to each item LOL. *huggles* Felicia =0)

there are a lot of WLS people in my area. I have a WLS buddy who is about two sizes bigger than me. I let her take first pick of all my clothes that are too big. She will recycle them to the next person -- her WLS buddy. The rest go to charity, but first pick always goes to my support group folks. If you have other WLS people in your area, they would LOVE to gently use your old friends, then pass them on.

I am sure there are lots of other people who had surgery locally. Sadly since I went "out of town" there is very little chance of me catching up with anyone locally. (Long story not worth the time to repeat). But it does feel good to donate them and think that someone will see these clothes and be grateful to find something that fit. *huggles* Felicia =0)
