Ok summer is here... Whats your "tan plan" for the summer? Self Tanners? Tanning Booths? Spray Tans? Sun Tan? Whats your poison? *grin* Felicia =0)

I thought I would add that my arms and face will be nicely tanned. They are already looking great from being outside. My legs on the other hand are as white as white can be. they don't seem to tan. Like the rest of we fair skinned girls, I don't go out of my way to tan. I never was one to lie in the sun. It is hot and boring to me.

I am basically a red-headed Irish ghost! Pale as they get. I tried a self tanner this weekend and I almost looked human, I plan on trying the spray tan about a week or two before my 20th reunion this summer. We will see if I get daring or not. I usually avoid the sun like the plague. Tara PS ~ as a kid I used to stay out in the sun until I had sun stroke about twice a week and one time my freckles literally turned green for about 2 days. That was freaky!

I'm a RN - and used to work in a plastic surgery clinic and then in a skin cancer clinic. My choice is to embrace my god-given pallor and cheri**** However, I'll use a self-tanner or spray tan if I ever get these thighs small enough to be able to wear shorts!

I have been using the Bath and Body Works "Glow and Steady" and I liked it. It is a moisturizer with SPF in it that gradually turns you tan. I liked the color and since it was gradual, I didn't turn orange in an hour or two. I ran out of it and haven't gone to get another tube, so I am white once again. I have blond hair, blue eyes and freckles. The sun is not my friend and I don't want to do tanning beds. Now that I am healthy, I am afraid of getting skin cancer. My sister told me that her SIL and her friend BOTH quit tanning in beds recently because one of them found two spots that turned out to be cancer. Both of these girls used to be like leather year round. They needed to quit tanning. What is your poison, Felicia? Hugs, Tabby

The sun and I are not friends but now that I can finally wear shorts ( be it only around here LOL and not to town ) I couldn't stand the pasty white legs (Or the veins for that matter) anymore so I bought a self tanning moisturizer. My FAVORITES are Aveeno Active Naturals Continuous Radiance Moisturizing Lotion and Banana Boat EveryDay Glow SunDail Self-Tanning Lotion. Both for Fair skin tones. The Banana Boat can get super dark so I would be scared to use the darker shade version lol. I like the Aveeno for an all over slower to develop tan and I love the banana boat for places I would like a faster or darker tan like my legs. I don't use anything on my face for tanning but I do love the Bare Minerals make up to add some color there =0) So far neither has turned me orange lol which I was really worried about. And must look good cuz my neighbor asked me what salon I go to for tanning HAHAHAHA. I said the "Salon of self tanner". It works for me. I am to cheap to go to a tanning salon and no way I am laying out in the sun. Between the heat and the cancer who needs that LOLOL. Anyways thats what I use. Felicia =0)

I am using the tanning bed. It really should be off limits to me since I already had a bout with skin cancer a few years ago. I just can't stand to look like a ghost now that I can expose more of myself. I promised myself to only use it for my "base" tan then after that I am done. Allison

Hi Felicia, I usually go to a tanning bed for 2 weeks before the summer starts to get my base.. Then I go to my bothers pool and the beach.. I get really tan.. and I have always said. Tan Fat looks better then White fat.. On me anyways.. Hee heee.. I have grew up in The OC so the beach has always been my thing.. Great question!! Luvs and Hugs! Tiff
