Update on thyroid
Hey everyone,
It's been a crazy day, so I didn't get a chance to post till now. I had my follow up with my PCM today about my thyroid.
The good news is that the synthroid is working and my TSH levels are back where they should be in the normal range. The bad news is since this is working, I have to keep taking the meds - for the rest of my life.... At least it's an easy fix. I am hoping that we caught it early enough that I will be able to stay on this dose and don't have to increase it later. Wish me luck.
Now, the worse news....I have been phenomenally tired lately. I thought it was because I was still having thyroid problems. Nope. The doc and I spent a long time talking and he thinks it could be one of any of these or a combo of them all. Either I'm suffering from stress/mild depression.....or my B12 levels are low.....or my iron is low......or all three or a combo of any of them. So, I'm having labs drawn again soon (probably next week) to find out what's going on. If it's the stress, I'm just going to push thru it and get better. After all, these stresses aren't going to last forever, just this summer. No big deal. If it's B12 or iron, that's a simple fix too.
OH and he told me I need to start walking DAILY again - even if it means getting the house on the market later than I want. He said it was a biggie in me being able to deal with what's going on - stress relief and endorphins. So, I've gotta get that back in my routine tomorrow. What's crazy is I LOVE walking, I just don't feel like I have the time to do it. I need someone to come kick my rear into gear. I just have the "I don't want to's" about so many things right now.
So, that's my update. When I have the labs done and get the results, I'll let you know what's up. Thanks for caring!
Susan
