Oh no....
Allison,
I think Aime is right. I have the same thing as Felicia where I could still go all day and not eat and be totally happy BUT I do remeber my hubby at this stage and I remember him starting to eat more. We did ask the nut about it and she said it is totally normal. She said still to watch and follow and make good choices in what you are eating. She said still always protein 1st and then veggies then whole grain carbs ONLY if room. It is part of getting back to a normal life. Just make sure you still use portion control because it is still possible to stretch the pouch. Maybe a call to your nut might make you feel better about it. Hope that helps,
Hugs,
Melissa
It depends on what I am eating. "safe" foods - lean meats, veggies, salads, soups etc. I can eat a lot more than before. However, rich, creamy foods (which we shouldn't be eating anyway - I know)...I can only get a bite or two in. I found this out on my honeymoon. We were on the modified american plan (breakfast and dinners included). The menu's had such yummy options, I would order anything I felt like and most of the time could only eat a few bites. Now I am back at home and back to my lean meats, cooking healthy, life style and am finding myself starving 1/2 the time. My portions are still way smaller than they used to be, but larger than I thought they would be at 6months out.
First let me congratulate you on your new marriage! I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
I agree with you on portion size being much smaller then before WLS, but larger than I want them to be. It seems to be that alot of us are having the same problem. This must be normal for some.
Thanks for your input!
I am there with ya to Allison!!! I usually don't eat until mid-day most of the time and I eat things that I know I should but....when I come from work at nights is when it hits me!!! I try to snack on things like fruits or popcorn and maybe rice cakes. I also get SF popcicles. It drives me crazy sometimes!!! I feel like I am turning into a major snacker. I guess as long as I don't gain weight I am ok with it. I to am eating more at a meal than what I thought I would be. It isn't nowhere's near what I was eating before surgery but it is scarring me sometimes!

I'm going through the same thing. Sometimes I don't feel like eating at all and other days I want to eat, eat, eat. I still try to watch my portions, but I snack around more on those days. Today I weighed and I was up two pounds. Yesterday was one of those days that all I wanted to do was snack. Made a committment to get back on track right now. I am going to measure everything I put in my mouth and log it on Fitday.com. I know the weight gain could be water, but I am feeling really anxious right now about it.
