Spring '06 vs. Spring '07
LOL besides everything???
1. Working in the yard.
2. Bought a swim suit off the rack.
3. Run. ( well after my kid at least lol I'm not the jogger type LOL)
4. Handle heat better. Been in the 80's and I am not sitting in front of the AC dying lol. In fact have not even put them in yet!!
5. Wearing shorts.
6. Walking out to take the garbage cans out AND bring them back in.
7. Walking out to get the mail.
8. Getting up earlier to enjoy the cool, bright mornings. For that matter I WANT to get up.
9. Walking period. When its cool we have been walking almost 2 miles in the evenings.
10. Fighting urges to actually buy a bike lol ( its on NEXT Springs list though ).
11. Looking forward to being in the pool this year AND using the ladder that comes with the darn pool.
12. Sitting out in the lawn under the Cherry trees with my son AND being able to get back UP with out dialing 911 for crane help.
13. Spring Cleaning was a TON easier this year since I can get DOWN and UP off the floor with ease now.
14. Actually not dreading Summer coming because I can wear smaller and lighter clothes now. Last year I was dressed like a nun to go outside and would melt into the concrete every trip to town...
Ok the list goes on and on but basically EVERYTHING is different when I compare Spring '06 to Spring '07.
*huggles*
Felicia =0)
1. Keep up with The Boy (I guess I need to start referring to him as DH) when walking.
2. Walk the dog further than just letting her outside the door to "do her business" now we take a nice long walk.
3. Walk up long hills without griping and groaning, in fact - I lead the way now.
4. Walk without pain (I was trying so hard to excercise last spring I ended up with major foot issues - stress fractures , heel spurs, gout issues etc. - it's all gone now)
5. Fit in those fold up "quad" chairs comfortably
6. Wear cute pants and tops to work instead of hiding under tent shirts.
Other things I've done this year...
Fit in an airline seat w/ room to spare
Put on a regular sized L wetsuit - getting me in the wetsuit at all was an accomplishment.
Jet Skiing
Snorkeling
Signed up to Parasail (our trip was canceled due to weather though)
On the list for the summer:
Kyaking
Whitewater Rafting
Hiking in the Smokie Mountains
Waterskiing
More Jetskiing
Good Post!
Things I can do this spring and not last spring...
Walk without a cane.
Tie my own shoes without being in a lather.
Pull the car seat up a little because there is room between me and the airbag.
Not worry that I am going to bust the folding chair I take to the kids soccer games.
Off of all pain meds and Lupus meds.
Almost off of my sleeping pills.
No sleep apnea.
Carry the laundry up and down stairs.
Walk up and down stairs without dragging on the hand rail.
I have so much more energy.
Wear my wedding bands (although I am going to need them sized back down again, lol)
Feel my children hug me, all the way around. That is how my 9 year old measures my weight loss.
Fit into a booth at a restaurant.
I no longer feel the need to come home and change into something "more comfortable". That usually meant putting on my housecoat and never looking dressed when I was home. Now I am comfortable in my clothes.
And so much more....

GREAT question Felicia!!
I can second so many of the things everyone has posted....but my FAVORITE thing I can do is cross my legs!!! I don't have to tuck a foot under me to be comfortable. Don't have to cross my legs like a guy anymore either.
Oh...and bending over to tie my shoelaces. LOVE that one. They aren't tied on the side anymore. LOL
And...wearing heels. LOVE to wear heels. Not high ones, they are about 2 inch heels...but they are CUTE and I can walk in them all day long and my feet don't hurt.
Also love buying clothes in the regular sizes. How great is it to buy something and not be scared of how it's going to look? I actually bought a couple of shirts the other day without trying them on - just because I knew the style would be flattering and the colors were great. THOUGHT I bought them too small (on purpose as I wanted to have them waiting for when I lose some more weight)....tried them on at home and they FIT!! There's no way I would've done that last year! I had to try on everything to make sure it was large enough and covered everything!
Which brings me to another point. I'm wearing shorter shirts. They no longer have to cover my big butt and tummy completely. Too cool. I actually look fashionable. I have dreamed of this day.
I could go on...but these are enough.
I can't wait to see my in-laws in a few weeks. I've REFUSED to send them any pictures during my weight loss. I wanted them to be surprised and shocked when I saw them. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces!

Great idea Felicia

5. Enjoy spending time outside with my family.
6. Tie my shoes without having to stretch my leg out to it's end.
7. Clothes shopping
8. HEELS
9. Feeling great about what I am wearing knowing that I am not "that" fat anymore, but more "average"
