I have not been here in a long while. I have a concern that I thought you all may be able to answer. I am 7 months out and down 85 lbs since surgery and 105 since Feb. of last year. Here is my question. Is there anyone out there that is loosing at this slow of a rate? I do excercise, I get my protien in, drink plenty of water, and take my vitiamens. Thanks for reading and any input you are able to provide. Candy

We are losing about the same.. I have lost 85 lbs.. I wont be at 7 months till the 18th however.. And I have been sitting at 169 for a while now.. So I think you are normal. Everyone loses at a different rate. I know it gets frustrating though. Alot of the girls on here have lost over 100.. So I was bummed for a while too.. but now I think, As long as we are still losing, who cares. I am sure I would of been at least 280 by now if I didnt have the surgery.. You are good to go!! No Worries... Luvs and Hugs! Tiffany

Hi Candy!! Just popping in to second what Tiff said. We all are loosing at different rates. I think a lot of it has to do with where you started and which type surgery you had. If you are a light weight like me, 85 pounds sounds average. The main thing is that you keep following the protocol as set forth by your doctor. It will happen, but after 6 months, it does slow down. Best of luck!! Susan

Thank you for your insight. Also congradulations on your weightloss as well. I don't think I would have been considered a light weight. I was 360 before WLS and I am now 274. Candy

HI CANDY! i was about 357 before the op and now i am 260. i have not lost 100 lbs either. it happens in drips and drabs for me. you will loose, as you loose winter is starting in the southern hemisphere, and visits to the gym have slowed down. that is life.

I here you there. I know that it is better to loose it at a slower rate. However, I get so frustrated and I just needed to here that someone was in the same boat as me. You know when the crazy thoughts pop in your head you tend to think and feel like you may be the only one. Thanks a buch ***HUGS*** Candy

Me! I have lost 70 lbs so far in nearly 7 months. I haven't lost anything in weeks. I have noticed that my body is firming up. Every day I get compliments from co-workers. I guess it is a trade off. Keep up the good work. Aime

Thank you! Congradulations on your loss as well. I was told the other day that this was an easy way out. Let me tell you I was SOOOO MAD. This is the hardest things I have ever done for myself and yes it can be frustrating, but I would do it again in a heart beat. ***HUGS*** Candy
