I am starting to get very frustrated...

I am at the same weight now for weeks.. and I mean weeks. I am starting to think my body is done losing. I have been at 180 now for nearly 2 months. I am moving around more. I worked in my yard all day yesterday. I was so tired when I was done, I passed out on my bed for about an hour. I weeded, raked, mowed, pulled, pushed, and planted from about 9 til 5. I also washed and hung laundry. Now I know we stall and our bodies catch up... but this is getting old. I am also experiencing some pain in my right side. It has been there for about a week now from the last time I worked in the yard. I thought it was just muscles I hadn't used in years. It woke me about 5 times last night. Okay, I'm done. Hope everyone has a great week.

Dear Aime: I am right there with you. I understand COMPLETELY. I have been at 178-180 for a couple of weeks now and worried that it is over too. My doctor, nutritionist and phsycologist all told me not to worry....... I WILL lose more, but I understand the frustration! Of course they suggest more exercise, but like you, I HAVE been doing more than I was, with all the yard work and everything. The one thing they said NOT to do was eat less. I am trying hard to trust them at this point, but I have cut back a tiny bit on food to see if it will help. They claim that all that is needed is to wait it out. The pain in your side sounds like gallbladder trouble......have you had that checked? It is so nice to have a place to vent, isn't it? I do hope the scale moves for you (and me) soon. Until then, just know that you are not alone! Dawn

Yep, me too!!! I've been stuck at 180 for about 2-3 weeks now. I keep going up and down with the same 1.5 pounds. Never below 180 though. I only have myself to blame. No exercise (I did do the March of Dimes Walk yesterday) and eating a little junk here and there, so I know what might get the scales moving for me. You would think after all of the exercise yesterday the scale would have been nice enought to pay you off with a loss. It will start moving. I'm not sure about the pain. I would definatley call you surgeon. I hope you find out what it is soon. Hugs, Tabby

{{{{{Big hugs}}}}} Sorry to hear about the stall and your frustration Aime. I hope you are able to get things moving again. I know when I stall, I up my water at least 1-2 bottles a day and try to get in more protein, along with exercise. I know you said you are doing a lot of yard work - and while I agree it's more than before it's not the same as actual "exercise" - say, like walking a mile would be. And, drink your water!! Make sure you are getting in plenty of calories (I know, that seems CRAZY, but you have to feed and water your body to lose weight). Also, track your intake. I know lots of people don't like to do it, but I have found that when I don't track, I tend to either overeat or undereat. When I keep up with it, I am right where I should be. Hope this helps. Know I care and only want to help. Also, the pain sounds like it could be related to your gall bladder. Especially if it's waking you at night. Please go get it checked! You've got Mama Susan worried now.... Susan

Hi Aime, I am so sorry to hear how frustrated you are!! Your scale will start moving! I stalled for a few weeks and finally have seen the scale start to move again!! I hope the pain in your right side isn't your gallbladder...you might want to check with your PCP! Take care, have a great week! Holly

Stalls are no fun. I notice I lose a lot less when I don't eat enough. Everyone and every doctor has so many ideas. Good luck with this and I hope it ends for you, really soon!!! Tara

I hear ya with the stall!!! I am not too worried about mine anymore because I am happy where I am at for now. If I don't lose anymore it will be fine with me. I am stuck at 184-185....79-80 lbs gone. When I went for my last visit the doctor said it is gonna get harder and harder to lose now. Of course I already knew that because I have been experiencing that for quit a while now. I just thank God everyday that I had this surgery and that I don't look or feel like I used to Lisa S.
