QOTD - Tuesday
Hello!!! It's midnight and I'm still awake. We managed to get the entire living room painted, furniture rearranged and most of the room put back together today. Tomorrow is filled with appts, so we are only planning to paint the smallest bedroom tomorrow afternoon. Wish us luck. Hubby leaves for deployment soon and we are doing our best to get it all done before he's gone.

9. Were you ever diagnosed with sleep apnea? Did you use a CPAP or Bi-Pap? Did it help? Did you wear it?
10. What shoes are you wearing today? Describe them in detail please.
Hope these were fun. I fell asleep composing them! That's what I get for bringing my computer to bed with me to read the boards before going to sleep. LOL Susan
1. Have you ever broken a bone? Which one? How? I broke my middle finger, first joint near the end, on my left hand several years ago while driving a fence post in the ground. It's now the topic of conversation at the nail salon since it is crooked.
2. Who taught you to drive? I took Driver's Ed, but my dad really taught me. I learned by driving his HUGE pick-up truck.
3. Do you know how to drive a manual transmission? Do you enjoy it or do you prefer an automatic? I like the control I feel when driving a stick. But if it's in town, with all the stops and starts, it gets to be a bother.
4. What mood are you in today? Pretty good. I am going to a ground-breaking this afternoon for a new highway interchange. Maybe get my picture taken with the governor.
5. What is your middle name? Do you like it? My middle name is Annette. Like it? Not sure...but it's a whole lot better than my first name.
6. When you have to stash and dash because some one is coming over unexpectedly, where do you hide things? Don't look behind the shower curtain or in the dryer.
7. What is one of your pet peeves that would surprise us? Be specific. People who say "Axed" instead of "Asked." Drives me insane...
8. Do you snore? Does your significant other? Does it keep you awake? Do you ever wake yourself up snoring? Yes so does DH. My parents did, and I find the sound comforting. It actually helps me sleep to hear someone snoring. Once I was dreaming about talking to my mother and everytime she asked me a question I responded with "Snnnxxx." After about the third time I woke myself up. DH was laughing so hard, especially when I told him about the dream.
9. Were you ever diagnosed with sleep apnea? Did you use a CPAP or Bi-Pap? Did it help? Did you wear it? Not officially.
10. What shoes are you wearing today? Describe them in detail please. Black leather, 2" heel, long blunt toe with a skinny strap across the top and a tiny silver buckle.
Fun stuff, Susan, Thanks!
Annette
Ok, I had more than just a cut and past of that answer on this post! Who took it away?
Anyway, what I was MEANING to say is that this drives me crazy as well. I also don't like to hear "Where YOU AT?"....I can't tell you the number of times I have overheard both while people have talked (much too loudly) on cell phones.
The boy has caught on and now will answer his cell phone with a loud "WHERE YOU AT??" every time I call, just to get me to smile.
1. Have you ever broken a bone? Which one? How? I have broken 2 fingers (2 separate times), and had a stress fracture in my foot a couple of summer ago -caused by being overweight of course.
2. Who taught you to drive? Who DIDN'T teach me how to drive. I was the youngest in the family. My driving "lessons" started when I was 14 - my sister would have me steer (while she worked the pedals) or even, occasinally would pull over and let me drive (shhhh). Once I was 16 and had a permit my brothers jumped in on the act. The had an interest in me learning how to drive. They were all tired of having to drive me everywhere (I was a very active, involved teen). The bulk of the driving lessons came from my mother however, and I think, once or twice, my father. (oh - and I took drivers ed as well).
3. Do you know how to drive a manual transmission? Do you enjoy it or do you prefer an automatic? My mother made me learn. She wouldn't let me take my drivers test until I could drive stick (just in case I ever HAD to) and change a tire. I haven't touched a manual transmission since - so I probably wouldn't be able to drive it.
4. What mood are you in today? Crazed. 4 days and counting. Still reeling from my uncles death (it was completely unexpected) and missing the boy terribly. (I stayed at my apartment last night trying to get things together)
5. What is your middle name? Do you like it? Jean, I like it because I like "PJ" which is what my family called me when I was growing up.
6. When you have to stash and dash because some one is coming over unexpectedly, where do you hide things? In the closet or up in the loft.
7. What is one of your pet peeves that would surprise us? Be specific. Being told what to do. I am fiercly independent and hate to have any one try to give me advice when I haven't asked for it.
8. Do you snore? Does your significant other? Does it keep you awake? Do you ever wake yourself up snoring? I don't snore, I never did. The Boy snores, at the moment, no it doesn't keep me awake, I sleep out in the livingroom out on the couch with his bedroom door shut. However, I have a feeling, that, after Saturday, when we are in the same bed together, yes it will keep me awake. I have some benadryl on hand in case I need some "help" getting used to it.
9. Were you ever diagnosed with sleep apnea? Did you use a CPAP or Bi-Pap? Did it help? Did you wear it? No sleep apnea - it was never an issue for me.
10. What shoes are you wearing today? Describe them in detail please. This is a funny one. I stayed at my apartment last night and there are clients on site here at work which means business professional dress. I managed to pack a blouse and I had a great conservative, just at the knee, navy skirt that was given to. I forgot shoes! I managed to find an old, unused pair of stockings this morning (they fit, I guess the reason I never wore them before is that I bought them in too small a size)... after rummaging I found a pair of black pumps ..I must have bought them just before my surgery...I stuck them on and ran out the door. They are WAAAAYYYY too big. Setting up the conference room was a riot this morning, I ended up having to take them off because I kept walking out of them. So really, today, I have no shoes on...but I have a nice pair of huge black pumps sitting next to me ready to stick on if anyone might happen to be in a position to see my feet.
