Shopping Trip # 2 - I'm down a size since the beginning of March!

My 1st postop shopping trip was the 1st week of March, I was down to a 5x (major wow for me). The tops I bought fit, but were a tiny bit snug at the belly at the time. Well, today, I went to my seamstress, so she could take them in at the shoulders and arms and waist, as they are looking too big on me now! Then I went to Catherine's, and walked out with clothes in a size 4X! and honestly, they were a little big on me, but a 3x was too small. I can't believe it, in less than 2 months I dropped another size (almost 2)... the weight loss is more obvious to me when I see the clothes getting bigger; I can't see it too much in the mirror or every day life, but the proof is in the clothing sizes, that's for sure. But this is also getting way too expensive! But either I look like a schlub in big oversized clothes, or I look nice in clothes that fit.... ahh, the price you pay to try and look beautiful, or atleast, to make yourself feel good!! Thanks for letting me share!

WAY TO GO MICHELLE!!! Congrats on losing almost 2 sizes. I know it is expensive to keep going down a size, but DOESN'T IT MAKE YOU FEEL GREAT???? Have you checked to clothing exchange board on OH to see if there is anything in your size that you can "borrow"? I wore a 24/26 last summer. If you can use anything I have, let me know and I will ship them to you. I just got my Fashion Bug Charge bill yesterday and OOOPPPPSSS...Guess I have been shopping more the past month than I thought. I got a $40 rebate for my purchases, but I am only $71 away from my $500 credit limit. Time to stop shopping. Hee Hee (well, aside from going there today to pick out a dressy outfit to wear to a funeral this week for my husbands uncle.) YOU GO GIRL!!! Hugs, Tabby

That is wonderful. It is really eye opeinging as you try on new clothes. I have lost 10 sizes in 6 months. I am still amazed my ass (excuse me if that offends you) can fit in pants so small. Thrift store shopping can be just as much fun as new store shopping. I realized after I finall bought pants etc that I can fit into now that I really need tops. As I dressed for work this week, I didn't have many tops that could fit me well anymore. My roommate commented to me just last night that I need someone to go shopping with me so that I stop shopping "fat". She pointed out that I have always dressed to hide myself. Now I need to show myself more. I don't know if I am there yet. I also tried on some of her clothes. It is really funny, because I could never wear any of her clothes. She was able to borrow form me all the time. Now as she sees me in her "sexy" clothes, she tells me to get out of her outfit. I just laugh and tell her I am going shopping in her closet more often now. Aime

That is wonderful to here Michelle!!!! Do you have any Goodwill stores around where you live? You may find some nice clothes at a thrift store. I have seen some nice clothes in those places and you won't be spending an arm and a leg for your clothes. I have found a few things in those places and have been buying a pair of pants and a blouse here and there. Like you, I can't afford to buy too much at once. I work at Wal-Mart and they are going to a dress code, so now I have to buy for that! The first two pair of pants that I bought are now feeling big on me. There is a girl that I work with that just had a baby about 5 months ago and her husband as left her. She is finding it very hard to make ends meet so I was thinking about giving here some of my clothes and the two pairs of pants that she needs for work. Michelle, you are going to have to put some pictures on your profile page...we would love to see ya! I need to get some of my updated pictures on if I can ever get someone around here to take them. Take care. I need to get off here and get outside to enjoy this beautiful weather we are having this weekend since I am off today Lisa S.
