QOTD - Monday

Well, I'm on-line this morning and other than cooking our Easter meal finally and cleaning house and cleaning ONE closet, I don't have any major plans for the day so I thought I'd post this for a change. I'm trying to get back on track with this. Need to start coming up with the questions at night again so all I have to do is type them in the following morning. Just got it a week ago and I LOVE IT!!! It's a Toshiba Satellite and is wonderful. 2. How often do you buy a new purse? I try to buy 1-2 a year. I am super duper picky about my purse though, so it takes me a long time to find one I really like. I ususally shop 1-2 months before I find one I like. It's time to go looking for another one soon. Hope I manage to find one before June!!! It took me 3 months to find the one I'm currently using.... 3. Describe the purse you are currently using. It is black with snakeskin piping around the edges, has snakeskin handles and a snakeskin flap with a silver ring that goes over the zipper. It's just one huge area when you open it with a zippered pocket inside and two pouches for cell phones, etc. It is the right size. Not too big, not too little...and for a change, I didn't spend a fortune on it. I got it at Payless for $15!!! I was excited!! 4. What did you have for breakfast today? Steak! It was yummy too and filled me up. Won't need to have a snack or anything at all until lunchtime - other than water, that is. Plus, it was 27g of protein. YIPPEE!!! Maybe today I'll make my protein goal without having to use a shake! Wish me luck! 5. What is the forecast high for your area today? 70-something. I think 75, but not 100% certain. 6. Did it snow this weekend where you live? No, but it did snow at my parents house in TN. Wish I was in TN..... Oh well...VA gets snow too. Guess I'll remember next year why I enjoy winter in TX. 7. What brand of coffee do you buy most often? Either Gevalia or Starbucks. Love them both. 8. What brand of tea do you buy most often? Celestial Seasonings - love their flavors. 9. What time did you get up this morning? Got out of bed at 6:30, but woke up at 6:15 because my son's alarm clock was going off and they didn't turn it off!!! The 14 year old was up and taking a shower, the 13 yo was SLEEPING thru the alarm!!! HOW he could as loud as it was is beyond me. 10. What is the worst weather you can have happen where you live (ie, hurricane, tornado, etc)? We have hurricanes and tornadoes and nasty thunderstorms too. That's about it though. Don't have to deal with the cold...but the summers are deathly hot. Every summer people die due to the heat (usually elderly people who have no AC). Very very sad.

I work at a desk with a computer all day. I like the freedom of leaving it behind and heading into my evenings and weekends relatively computer free. 2. How often do you buy a new purse? Not often enough. Maybe once or twice a year. I'm still using the Kate Spade I purchsed right before surgery - it's all fall colors. I realized this weekend that it looks kinda silly with spring clothes, time for another! 3. Describe the purse you are currently using. A "Kate Spade" though I am sure it's a fake. beige, browns, and blacks (stripes) with black leather trim. 4. What did you have for breakfast today? Procomplex w/skim milk. 5. What is the forecast high for your area today? 40 degrees with pounding rain / snow/ice and gale force winds (we're in the middle of a nor'easter). 6. Did it snow this weekend where you live? not over the weekend, but it snowed last night and this morning. 7. What brand of coffee do you buy most often? International Foods..the fancy instant flavored kinds - no sugar added. 8. What brand of tea do you buy most often? Lipton 9. What time did you get up this morning? 5am - the wind and the ice pelting on the windows woke me up. 10. What is the worst weather you can have happen where you live (ie, hurricane, tornado, etc)? We tend to get it all - but we are protected enough that it is never too severe. Huge thunderstorms and sheer winds tend to be the worst. Though in the past year and a half we have had it all..floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards.... My personal worst would be ice storms.

1. Do you have a laptop? I have a Toshiba Satellite - I love it. We have a wireless network at home so I can compute anywhere. I like being able to take it with me to WiFi hot spots. 2. How often do you buy a new purse? I buy one or two a year. I, too, am super picky - It has to be large enough to hold my day planner, I like a special pocket for my cell phone, and a single strap long enough to throw over my shoulder easily. Two straps usually means that I am continually pushing one of them back up onto my shoulder. 3. Describe the purse you are currently using. Woven straw with aligator trim. I must apologize at this point, I've been carrying this bag since the warm spell in March. Too early for a straw bag. I think this cold weather we've been having is my fault for doing this. 4. What did you have for breakfast today? Skim milk and a small slice of Asiago cheese bread. 5. What is the forecast high for your area today? 50 or so...I think. 6. Did it snow this weekend where you live? I heard that it did, but I was about 4 hours south and just got rained on all weekend. 7. What brand of coffee do you buy most often? Folgers 8. What brand of tea do you buy most often? Nestea 9. What time did you get up this morning? 6 am. My new job lets me sleep late...I used to get up at 5:30. 10. Well, I don't have one personally, but my husband does. It's a dell and I don't like it, I prefer a desktop. 2. How often do you buy a new purse? Every couple of months, I either buy one that is too big or too small, can never seem to find one just right! 3. Describe the purse you are currently using. It's cute....it's dark blue...short handles....has two pockets on the front and two compartments inside... 4. What did you have for breakfast today? Protein drink... 5. Lipton Green Tea -- and I just bought a new Lipton Iced Tea this weekend it's Diet Lipton White Tea Raspberry and it is wonderful! Don't drink much of it though because of caffeine! 9. Tornado -- we had what they called a Microburst a couple of years ago which acted like a tornado but was not as deadly as a tornado...

When I do carry a bag it's usually when I go to work and that's a large carry all bag, a lot of junk for work. 4. Yes, I have a work laptop that I use for personal use, too. It is an IBM Thinkpad. I love it. I NEVER use my desktop anymore, unless it is to print something or work on my scrapbook pages. If I have to return this one to work, I will probably buy a new one. 2. How often do you buy a new purse? I very rarely buy a new purse. I need to get a new one, soon. 3. Describe the purse you are currently using. It is a black purse with a shorter strap. it has a buckle on the front. 4. What did you have for breakfast today? Kashi Go Lean Crunch Cereal with skim milk. 5. What is the forecast high for your area today? I think it was supposed to be up to 50, but was EXTREMELY WINDY!!! 6. Did it snow this weekend where you live? There were flurries. We were supposed to get 1-2", but it missed us. 7. What brand of coffee do you buy most often? I don't make coffee much at home. I have one of those Folger's Pod Coffee Makers, so I buy that brand. I usually buy Starbucks. LOL. 8. What brand of tea do you buy most often? LIPTON!!!! I love Lipton Tea. However, lately I have been drinking Red Diamond brand Sugar Free Sweet Tea. I get it at Walmart. LOVE IT!!! 9. What time did you get up this morning? I woke up at 1:15pm because the phone was ringing. I took a Tylenol PM at 8am to hopefully get some sleep today because I am working Five 10-hour shifts this week and need to sleep during the day more if I plan on making it all week. 10. What is the worst weather you can have happen where you live (ie, hurricane, tornado, etc)? We don't get many tornado's, we get some flooding, but I would say the worst weather in our area would be a blizzard or ice storm.
