6 Month check up

Well, hit the 6 month mark and went to the doctors today. Everything is fantastic. I am down 115 pounds and feeling great. He walked in and said," wow, do you look great." Made my day. All the blood work came back great and he even said that my protein was better than last time. I again asked about my double milk protein shake with close to 60 g of protein and he said that I was absorbing it all and no problem. Then I asked him about taking regular vitamins and he said if I wanted to take them I would have to break them in half. I told him I could swallow them with no problem and he said it was not a matter of swallowing but with the coating on the pill, I would not absorb them quick enough before they were out of my system. Thus, breaking them to be able to get to the insides then. He too said that I should not expect a lot of weight loss these next 3 months. There will be lots of changes in the body and it will be developing, creating or doing something with lean muscle. Whatever that is all about. I asked him about goal weight and he said he does not like to give goal weights but I should be able to get to the 170#, which is half of what I started out, with no problem and I said I wanted lower than that and he said that I have the tool to do it and it will be up to me if I want to get lower. But it was all in all a great visit and next one will be in another 3 months. We parted with me thanking him for giving me my new life and he said that he has the most rewarding job in the world, when he sees how so many of his patients lives are improved and how happy they are. I just love that man, he is the greatest. But just thought I would share some of my info with you. Have a great evening .....Love.....Gay

Congrats, Gay. Sounds like a very great visit. You are doing great. It is getting harder to get the weight off. I'm glad I took advantage of the first 6 mos and lost almost 100 lbs. I have like 23 lbs to get to my goal. I know it will take the next 6 mos to get there, but I WILL do it!!! Congrats on your new life. How is your new job going? How have you been? Hugs, Tabby

Wow Gay, Hope my 6 month check up goes that well.. You are doing such a great job!! I think you will make it to where ever you want to be.. I still take chewable too. Congrat's on losing 115 pounds. That is an amzing weight loss in 6 months. I am sure that you make your goal as long as you keep up your dedication. I have to say I still take the chewable vitamins. I probably always will. Way to go!!!! Tara
