Okay....finally, I am posting the QOTD today. I thought of these last night while cooking dinner (and it shows in the questions, ) so I'm posting them this morning before I take off on a day of shopping for supplies to paint, pack, etc. Didn't manage to get them yesterday. Oh well.... Enjoy the questions! Who knows when I'll manage to do this again.
1. Which herbs/spices do you use most often when cooking? Do you use fresh or dried?
2. Do you have a George Foreman (or similar) grill? Do you like it? How often do you use it?
3. Do you have a bread machine? How often do you use it? What is your favorite bread to make in it?
4. On average, how many calories per day do you eat? Has it changed recently?
5. Are you still exercising? How often? What do you do? Has your exercise routine lapsed? Do you plan to get started again? When? What will you do?
6. Do you have a crockpot? How often do you use it? What is your favorite meal to make using the crockpot?
7. How often do you eat out/get take out? What do you typically order? Which restaurant do you go to most frequently?
8. How much coffee/tea do you drink daily? Do you drink decaf or regular?
9. When you don't feel well (cold, allergies, etc) what is your comfort meal since having WLS? What was it before? Have your ideas of food/comfort meals changed since having WLS? How? Please explain.

1. Which herbs/spices do you use most often when cooking? Do you use fresh or dried? Garlic (fresh), tastefully simple's seasoned salt, grill seasoning and various dried herbs.
2. Do you have a George Foreman (or similar) grill? Do you like it? How often do you use it? Yes, we use it about once a week.
3. Do you have a bread machine? How often do you use it? What is your favorite bread to make in it? I have a bread machine, I got it as a gift about 5 years ago - I've used it....ONCE.
4. On average, how many calories per day do you eat? Has it changed recently? Between 800-1000 depending. It has changed drastically recently. Since I upped my protein goal from 60 to 80 I've jumped by about 200 calories a day.
5. Are you still exercising? How often? What do you do? Has your exercise routine lapsed? Do you plan to get started again? When? What will you do? Yes. I am still doing water aerobics and spinning, 3 days a week for an hour at a time. I walk at lunch time (weather permitting). I haven't been hitting the gym on non-class nights as much lately - too much to do. After the wedding and after I move out of my apartment completely (I'm still working on packing and cleaning) then I will devote more time to the gym.
6. Do you have a crockpot? How often do you use it? What is your favorite meal to make using the crockpot? Yes on the crockpot. we use it about once a month. I like pork and saurkraut in the crockpot.
7. How often do you eat out/get take out? What do you typically order? Which restaurant do you go to most frequently? I don't eat out much at all anymore. we're saving money. I do like to go to Applebees and get shrimp skewers though. YUM.
8. How much coffee/tea do you drink daily? Do you drink decaf or regular? At the moment, none of either, I'm really working on getting jus****er, water, water in.
9. When you don't feel well (cold, allergies, etc) what is your comfort meal since having WLS? What was it before? Have your ideas of food/comfort meals changed since having WLS? How? Please explain. Chili now. Spicier the better, it helps clean out those sinuses.. Before WLS it was...Kraft macaroni and cheese (no matter what was ailing me)..and I would eat the whole box too!

2. Do you have a George Foreman (or similar) grill? Do you like it? How often do you use it? I do have a Foreman grill and like it a lot. I use it about once a week. Need to use it more.
3. Do you have a bread machine? How often do you use it? What is your favorite bread to make in it? I have one, but hardly use it. I love the bread, but can't eat it now, so I'll probably give it to my sister. Her's doesn't work anymore.
4. On average, how many calories per day do you eat? Has it changed recently? I usually eat about 900-1000 calories. I have been snacking more lately, but am determined to cut that out.

I am not being as good at exercising as I was a month ago. I plan to start up again this weekend. We just bought a weight station. I want to start using it and increasing my time/speed/incline on my treadmill.
6. Do you have a crockpot? How often do you use it? What is your favorite meal to make using the crockpot? I have two crockpots and use them once in a while. My favorite thing in the crockpot is a turkey breast or a roast with potatoes and carrots.
7. How often do you eat out/get take out? What do you typically order? Which restaurant do you go to most frequently? We went to Applebee's last night. We eat out about once a week. I had the Asiago Garlic Chicken and Steak. I gave most of the Steak to Nate, but had a few tiny bites. The chicken is SOOOOOOO tender. Dave had some of it. Usually I get a salad of some sort or a wrap and eat half of it. I also love Red Robin and am looking forward to going to Texas Roadhouse for my birthday.

9. When you don't feel well (cold, allergies, etc) what is your comfort meal since having WLS? What was it before? Have your ideas of food/comfort meals changed since having WLS? How? Please explain. I haven't really been sick since the WLS. Maybe just once. I like Wendy's Chili a lot. I don't think much about comfort food.
10. Do you miss being able to eat whatever you want whenever you want? I do miss it once in a while. I love my new body, but miss some of my snacks. I miss bread...sandwiches.

7. How often do you eat out/get take out? What do you typically order? Which restaurant do you go to most frequently? we have a restaurant called Leonardos and they have the best Grilled Chicken Salad, although I end up brining home 3/4 of it!
