Spoke with Deanne today!
Hi everyone!!
Great news. I spoke with Deanne today. She is home from the hospital and has been for about 2 weeks now. She couldn't find her cell phone once they got home from the hospital, so wasn't able to contact anyone for a while. Plus, she admitted it's been such an emotional time for her lately that she wasn't sure she could really talk with anyone.
She sends her thanks to everyone for the gifts and cards. She loved them all. 
She sounded really good and says she feels a little bit better every day. She's still having to take it easy and is spending most of the day laying down still. She said she is happy to be home - especially after the long hospital stay and all that happened there. She's bored and is having the wonderful fun of having her MIL stay with her each day.
We really didn't discuss what's been going on with her health other than how she's feeling and that she's been really emotional lately. I think she just wanted to have a normal conversation today without the "C" word being mentioned. Can't say that I blame her. So...I don't know anything about what they are doing now or what the plans are for when she's feeling better. I'm hoping she will be able to get on-line soon and join us again. Until then I will update when I have new info.
It was sooooo good to get her call today. I was on cloud nine and breathing a huge sigh of relief to know she's home and feeling better.

Oh, Susan!!! I'm so happy that you talked to Deanne that I have tears in my eyes and goosebumps. I was so worried that we weren't hearing from her because things were really bad. I'm glad to know it was just a misplaced cell phone. What a relief. I'm glad she is feeling better each day. I hope that she can join us again, soon. I miss her so much. Hope we get more updates soon. Thanks for trying to hard to get a hold of her for us.

Thanks for the update on Deanne! I have been waiting to hear something about her. I don't get to post much, but I do read the board as much as I can, and I have been worried about her. I am glad to see that she is home and feeling better. Please keep us posted on her as much as you can.

I just got on the computer after a few days of being absent. It's been really crazy at work and more important, mom hasn't been feeling the best. I don't know if i've mentioned it, but mom was diagnosed w/ stage 3 lung cancer in Sept. 06.
I can't tell you how happy I was to read you're message that you were finally able to get up w/ deanne. I'm so glad she's home and is feeling better every day. It's going to be a long haul, but w/ faith and a positive attitude anything is possible. Being w/ family and friends is the best medicine sometimes.
I May attempt to call her some time this week.
