Sushi??
Sorry Tiff, I don't know what to tell ya about sushi. I have never ate it now wanted to. Raw meat just does not appeal to me even though I have had some people tell me that it is good. Maybe you could check some of the other boards on OH for people that are further out with their surgery to see if any of them can eat it or if you should. I was craving shrimp the other week for some reason. It was the frozen breaded kind. I was heating it in the oven which I didn't know if I should have the breading or not so sometimes I would pick it off. I could have gone for spiced steamed shrimp which I have never ate before. When I was caring my oldest son his father and I used to go to some friends house that would steam shrimp in the house....the smell of the process would make me sick ....thus never liking spiced steamed shrimp. When I had the craving the other week I think I could have tried it just because I knew it didn't have the breading on it. My taste for food has really changed alot....it is really weird.
Good luck finding your answer.

I love sushi and I do eat some. I can get in a few peices but can't eat what I used to eat. Thank God!
I eat rice with my regular meals and I don't have a problem with it.
Take it slow and don't over do it and you should be able to enjoy a few peices.
Good luck,
Tara
PS My 8 and 11 year olds love su****oo!!
Hijack!!
Tara...
I'm so jealous! I tried some rice yesterday and got SOOOOOOOOO sick!!
I felt horrible for the rest of the day. Not fun at all.
Actually, this has happened several times here lately as I've been branching out and trying new things. I love the convenience of the Lean Cuisine meals. They have some with just meat and veggies. Some of them I can eat just fine and others make me It's not been fun finding out which ones don't work.
Enjoy your rice. Next time you have it, dedicate a forkful to me.

Hi Tiffany!
I am behind, as usual. Maybe you tried it over the weekend?
I LOVE sushi. I have not really had the opportunity to try any good sushi, so I haven't yet. (We did go to a Chinese buffet type place, but all they had was the rice rolls with the fake crab in them, and I did not want to "waste my space" on that.) I think it would be OK, just chew it to death, and maybe remove some of the rice.....
Let me know if you did an how it worked out.....
