Won't be around much
Hey everyone!
Well, the $$$ came in finally and I've been to the home improvement store to buy the supplies I need to finish fixing the inside of the house and painting and then building and planting the flower beds outside (along with a ton of other chores) so we can get the house on the market ASAP.
So, I won't be around much for the next few weeks. I will stop in and read - probably at night. And, I'll keep the QOTD going too. Just don't expect high caliber questions. As if they are that anyway!!
Hope everyone has a great week. I'll give you guys some updates as I can. Next Tuesday is my 6 month f/u - but today is my 6 month surgiversary! Wow, I can't believe all the changes. Amazing! Six months ago there was NO WAY I would've contemplated doing the things I'm going to do this next month. I couldn't have done them! Now, I'm not only doing them, I'm doing it alone! Wow moment just realizing that!!!
Will miss you guys! But, I will check in. Promise. You can't get rid of me that easily.
Susan
Best of luck with the home improvments you have going on The hubby has finally painted the floor on the back porch that our lab mix tore up when he was a puppy. He tore up the lanoliam (sp?) and then went for the old tile that was under it. We removed all of it down to the concrete and that was last spring. I am sooo happy that it is painted now. There wasn't any use in putting down new flooring as that is going to be built on to once we have the money to expand the kitchen and make a den in the back of the house. Right now it is the laundary room which we plan on building a new one on the side of the house and expand the kitchen. My kitchen is sooo out dated. I have tried to make it pretty but those cabinets and flooring has got to go!!!!
Have fun

I so know what you mean about doing things now that we never would have done pre wls! Lately I have fixed a sagging part of the deck, rebuilt the deck stairs, reinforced the stairs in the house, rewired 2 bathrooms, the diningroom chandelier and a standing lamp in the living room. The biggest though is getting down on my hands and knees to REALLY wash the kitchen floor and the bathroom floor UNDER the big claw foot tub!!! Its an amazing feeling and I hope you really enjoy the projects and revel in the feeling of using all the muscles it takes!
OH NO SUSAN, SAY IT ISN'T SO. WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH OUT YOUR WONDERFUL SELF FOR A WHILE. I MIGHT AS WELL GO SHOT MYSELF NOW AND BE DONE WITH IT.
SERIOUSLY, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SURGIRVERSARY AND ALL YOU'VE ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR.
HOPE YOU HAVE FUN W/ ALL THE WORK YOU'RE GOING TO BE DOING.
HOPE TO READ YOU BACK HERE SOON.
