1. What was your favorite part of this past weekend? On Friday Meg and I picked Nate and a family friend up from Pre-K, like we do every Friday. I took them to lunch and was thinking about taking them to a park to play. Well, I decided at the last minute to take them to the zoo for a little while. They loved it. It was such a nice surprise. 2. What did you eat for breakfast this morning? Yogurt 3. Do you have plans for Easter weekend? What are they? Is it a long weekend for you, time off from work, etc? Kids out of school? Nate doesn't have school on Friday, but I am working Five 10-hour shifts this week, so I will be sleeping some on Friday. Luckily Dave is off too and can watch the kids while I sleep. On Sunday I am hosting Easter dinner and hope to have my family, plus my Sister-in-law and her kids and our friends that we get together with on holidays. I want to have an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. 4. What is your favorite color to wear? I like wearing brown a lot lately. But am starting to like pink, too. 5. Do you double check your doors at night to make SURE they are locked? No, not really. Live in a very rural area and sometimes even leave the doors unlocked when I go pick up the kids from daycare or when I am sleeping during the day. 6. Do you know how to shoot a pistol or rifle? Have you ever shot one? When did you learn? If you don't know how, do you wish you did? Do you plan to learn some day? I have no desire to learn. 7. When you were young, what were three things you wanted to be/do (job wise) when you grew up? Did you grow up to do any of those jobs? Do you still have those dreams? I can't remember what I wanted to be. Whatever it was...NO...I'm not doing it now. I had no idea I would get into the computer field until my senior year. I might have wanted to be a nurse...sometimes I dream about that, but don't want to go back to school and don't think it would pay what I get now. Mainly I wanted to be a mommy and I AM!!! 8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? I am such a procrastinator. I am always late for everything because I wait until the last minute to do whatever. If it is a birthday party, I am wrapping the gift as Dave is putting the kids in the car. I also procrastinate about paying bills and sometimes end up paying a late fee because I wait until the day it is due and try to pay it online and it takes two days to process. URGH!!! 9. Do you like to fly? Does flying scare you more after 9/11 - or not? If you could fly your own plane, would you? Flying has never bothered me, and is hasn't bothered me more since 9/11 10. Do you worry about losing too much weight with WLS? OR Do you worry about not meeting your goal? I'm not really worried about either one. I have seen that when I eat somewhat normal, I don't lose, so I think I will be able to maintain when I want to. I'm not there, yet.

1. What was your favorite part of this past weekend? probably having dinner and spending the evening with my daughter and future son-in-law last night. other than that, i always enjoy just hanging out in bed with my husband playing soduko togethter and watching movies. 2. What did you eat for breakfast this morning? this morning i had a half of a 42 gram protein vial. i didin't want to get up and dressed and go out to breakfast with my guys, and i want to try to get another hour of sleep if i can, although i think that is out of the question now that i have been awake for 2 and a half hours. 3. Do you have plans for Easter weekend? What are they? Is it a long weekend for you, time off from work, etc? Kids out of school? tonight is the first night of passover for us, so everyone on my husband's side of the family will be together for dinner (my side of the family is christian... i converted to judaism). there will be a total of 29 of us for dinner. it is always a good time. we do an "abbreviated" sedar, and really get all of the kids involved. my neices and nephews range from 6 months to 15 years old, so i am always in my glory when i get to spend time with them. there are 9 neices and nephews, and 4 great neices and nephews on hubby's side. my side there is only my one neice who is 15... i had dinner with her and her mom, my other sister, my mom, and my daughter on thursday night. that was fun... all of the females from my side of the family. easter will be low key. we used to go to my mom's, but they are very active in their church now, so i usually just bake a ham and make our favorite cheesy potatoes and corn and cole slaw. mmm, mmm. we obviously don't keep kosher, and ham is a favorite of my kids and husband, although i will make a turkey breast or a get a rotissery chicken for my son-in-law, as he grew up in a kosher home and does not eat any pork. 4. What is your favorite color to wear? black and pink. usually lots of black, but i do love pink and khaki in the summer for casual wear. 5. Do you double check your doors at night to make SURE they are locked? never, unless i am home totally alone for the entire night, and sometimes not even then. my doors are rarely locked, even when we aren't home. i really should be more careful, as we have had several robberies in our's and surrounding neighborhoods, but my dogs sound so vicious, i doubt that anyone would ever try to get in my door. of coure, i'm glad that they don't know that they would just be licked to death! 6. Do you know how to shoot a pistol or rifle? Have you ever shot one? When did you learn? If you don't know how, do you wish you did? Do you plan to learn some day? i shot a rifle one summer with relatives... beer cans in the woods kind of thing. i would love to shoot for sport (target range only... indoor with hand guns), but just haven't gotten around to finding a range. i would never have a gun in my home though. 7. When you were young, what were three things you wanted to be/do (job wise) when you grew up? Did you grow up to do any of those jobs? Do you still have those dreams? i wanted to be a mom, and a mom, and a mom. and that is what i am. i am a dental hygienist professionally (retired...disabled with my back), and i loved what i did, but i only ever worked a few days a week when the kids were in school. i was the "room mother" mom, and the sports "booster club" mom, and i rarely missed my kids sporting events. my daughter played h.s. basketball and softball, and swam in the summer and played travel asa softball. my son played h.s. football, and baseball, swam in the summer, and played babe ruth baseball. we were always busy, and i miss it terribly. my son played one year of college football, but the time commitment was huge, and he hated the coaches, so he didn't continue. 8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? my procrastination and my depression. i think they have a lot to do with each other, but lately the depression has become a much bigger issue. 9. Do you like to fly? Does flying scare you more after 9/11 - or not? If you could fly your own plane, would you? i like to fly i guess. i don't like to take off or land, but it's not something that would keep me from traveling. after 911 didn't make me any more un-sure of flying... i think it is safer now. 10. Do you worry about losing too much weight with WLS? OR Do you worry about not meeting your goal? i worry more about not meeting my goal, as i am a slow loser, and if i eat more than i should i not only don't lose, but i gain. even though i eat way many less calories then i ever did, i can still put weight on on a bad day. now, do all of you that took the time to actually read the above realize why i don't often answer the qotd? i write way too much crap. anyway, please root for my phillies today. it is opening day and my son and my husband are going and i am not... pout, pout. oh well, i will be watching on t.v. all day. i love baseball season!!! have a good one everyone, patricia

Yay, I'm routing for the Phillies with you. The Boy was thinking of going to the game today (he usually goes to opening day) - but when someone gave us tickets to last Friday nights exhibition game he decided that was "good enough"

i'm glad you got to enjoy the game on friday night. believe it or not, our tix actually went to waste!! ugh. my husband and i were supposed to go with my son and a friend of his from school, then he decided he would rather stay at school... so we were going to take my daughter and her fiance... then my husband wasn't feeling great and had had tons of aggravation at work and didn't want to go. so my daughter and david were going to take friends... then david and his buddy didn't get out of work in time. sooooo, there went one night of tickets. we have great seats. we are on t.v. behind every lefty batter. we sell lots of them, because we can't really afford the luxury of keeping $16,000 worth of phillies tickets a year! my husband always gets a premium for opening day, so he always sells those, but he and my son were invited to go with my husband's best friend and his son. i'm so envious, they will have so much fun. i will let you know the next time my hubby and i are going, and if you are also going, maybe we could meet. i would really like that. in the meantime, if you watch them on t.v., i'll let you know which of my family members or if i will be on t.v. talk to you soon, patricia

1. What was your favorite part of this past weekend? The Boy took me to a pre-season baseball game on Friday night, the Phillies vs. the Boston Red Sox. Even though we played poorly I had soooo much fun! It was nice to get out on a date and not think about wedding stuff for awhile. He admited that I am certainly a "cheap date" at this point. Someone gave him the tickets, and I didn't eat anything at the game (drank a shake on the way down to the stadium and snuck some water in with me)...all he had to do was pay for his dinner and parking. 2. What did you eat for breakfast this morning? I'm drinking a pro-complex "shake" right now. 3. Do you have plans for Easter weekend? What are they? Is it a long weekend for you, time off from work, etc? Kids out of school? I don't have Friday off - so it's not a long weekend. Friday night we may do something special (I may be able to sneak out of the office a few hours early). Saturday we are going to a professional lacrosse (Philadelphia Wings) game (you can tell I like sports). Sunday (Easter) it looks like it will be church in the morning then dinner with his family. 4. What is your favorite color to wear? Pink 5. Do you double check your doors at night to make SURE they are locked? Nope 6. Do you know how to shoot a pistol or rifle? Have you ever shot one? When did you learn? If you don't know how, do you wish you did? Do you plan to learn some day? Hmmmm, I've shot a painball gun and a bb-gun, thats it. I have no desire to learn to shoot anything more "heavy duty" - I was actually invited to a clay pigeon shoot next month, I declined because I knew I would have to shoot a "real gun" 7. When you were young, what were three things you wanted to be/do (job wise) when you grew up? Did you grow up to do any of those jobs? Do you still have those dreams? I had 3 dreams. One to be a pediatrician, the second was to be a professional puppeteer, the third was to be a radio dj. The first I gave up when I realized you had to be good a science. The second, everyone thought I was just being silly - but I was serious. I actually joined a "puppet team" in high school and we competed on a national level. My friend and I did well. I researched and found 1 college that had a puppetry program, my parents said no way though - and I gave up. The third is the one I ended up pursuing. I studied communications in college and got involved in managing the college radio station. I hit the "big time" landing a position at a radio station in Alaska full-time after college. I was the program manager within a few months. However, the management above me and I did not exactly "click" vision wise. I ended up leaving after 2 years (this was a really small time place). I found a part-time weekend announcer position back here in PA. It was an overnight shift (10am - 6am) one day a week. After 2 years of being stuck there I kept applying for full time or more hours, and even managment, but nothing worked out. One day, I spoke with the program manager and he admited that the board and made the decision NOT to hire any full-time female announcers because it wasn't what their "listening market" was interested in...(it was smaller conservative Christian station - with really boring music)...I was so mad I quit on the spot. After a turn over in format and management that program manager was promoted and came looking for me (actually went to the home of a mutal friend trying to find how to contact me)...at that point I was so over the desire to work in radio (too political for me) and had moved on, I knew I would never go back. 8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? I would change how I procrastinate. 9. Do you like to fly? Does flying scare you more after 9/11 - or not? If you could fly your own plane, would you? I love to fly (as a passenger). Small planes, big planes, doesn't matter. I however, would not want to be a pilot of fly my own plane. 10. Do you worry about losing too much weight with WLS? OR Do you worry about not meeting your goal? I worry about neither one. My goal is very realisitic as I did not set it based on charts, I set it based on what I thought would be a good weight for me. I will still be considered "overweight" at that point, so I will ahve room to loose more and not feel bad about it. I really dont' think I will be one of those that "can't stop loosing"...so I don't worry about that either.

I am a good shot. Lifetime NRA member. This is probably more than you wanted to know... 7. When you were young, what were three things you wanted to be/do (job wise) when you grew up? Did you grow up to do any of those jobs? Do you still have those dreams? I wanted to be a housewife (still do), a mommy (am), and an architect (close). I earned a degree in design hoping to work for an architectural firm but got into the construction field instead and found I enjoyed that more. My passion is historic restoration. 8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? I would like to be more out-going, less shy around new people. 9. Do you like to fly? Does flying scare you more after 9/11 - or not? If you could fly your own plane, would you? I love to fly. But I'm content to let someone else do the flying. I like looking out the windows to well to have to pay attention to the control panel. 10. Do you worry about losing too much weight with WLS? OR Do you worry about not meeting your goal? To quote a famous philosopher, "What, me worry?" Annette
