MUSHROOMS?
DOES ANYONE LIKE MUSHROOMS?
I DO, YES, I KNOW THEY'RE FUGI AND I KNOW WHAT THEY GROW IN BUT I STILL LOVE THEM.
SO, THAT BEING SAID HERE'S A RECIPE FOR THEM. I DIDN'T CALCULATE THE NUTRITIONAL VALUE BUT THEY'RE DELISH AND WHEN YOU SEE WHAT'S IN THEM YOU'LL SEE THEY'RE ALSO GOOD FOR US.
I USUALLY MAKE A WHOLE BUNCH SINCE THEY CAN BE REHEATED REAL EASY EITHER IN THE MICROWAVE OR THE OVEN.
FOR INDIVIDUAL SERVING.
3 - 4 PROTABELLO MUSHROOMS CLEANED WELL. YOU CAN REMOVE THE GILLS IF YOU PREFER.
4 - 5 TABLESPOONS OF CHREAM CHEESE (REGULAR OR LOW FAT)
4-5 TABLESPOONS OF IMITATION CRAB CHOPED IN SMALL PIECES
1-2 OZ MONTERAY JACK OR HALAPENO (sp) CHEESE CHOPED FINE.
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
MIX CHEESES AND CRAB TOGETHER
PLACE A TABLESPOON OF MIXTURE IN MIDDLE OF MUSHROOM
PLACE A THIN SLIVER OF MONTERAY OR HALAPENO OVER MIXTURE
PLACE IN 350 DEGREE PREHEATED OVEN TILL CHEESE IS MELTED
YOU CAN ALSO PLACE THEM UNDER THE BROILER TO GET THE CHEESE SLIGHTLY BROWN.

so glad to see another shroom lover. Not to many of us that I know of.
Hope you try the recipe and like it. You can also use cramini or ****aki but I like the protabello shroom cause they're larger and easier to stuff.

p.S. Have you been able to get in touch w/ deanne or joe? I tried to call again on Friday with the same results, voice mail. Left my cell phone number again. Hope one of them will call and give us an update.

Sent you an e-mail about this, but decided to respond here too so everyone would know...
I haven't heard from either of them since my last talk with Deanne several weeks ago. I've called repeatedly and left messages, but no one has called back. Not sure what that means.... If and when I hear, I will let you know. I'm soooooo worried about them all....
