1. What was your favorite childhood toy? Barbies. 2. Are you a righty or a lefty? Lefties...did your teacher try to make you write with your right hand? Right handed. 3. Can you eat using chopsticks? Uh....NO!!! 4. When was your last follow up with your surgeon? When is your next appt? Last appointment was my 3 month appointment. My next appointment is April 18 5. How often do you see your stylist for a trim/cut/color/whatever? Once every 6 months. I never do this for myself. I always wait way too long! 6. What is one item from your list of "things I want to do before I die?" See Paris 7. Do you have a medic ID bracelet for WLS? What does it say? If you don't have one, are you planning to get one? If no, why not? No, I do not have a med ID bracelet but I do plan on getting one. 8. What is your idea of a relaxing weekend? sleeping in, then Scrapbooking and hanging out with family. 9. What is your dream job? My dream job would be a "stay at home mom" 10. Do you read your posts before you send it to the board? Do you correct spelling, rephrase sentences, etc? Or do you click and send? I try and be sure everything is correct....however, sometimes I do click and send...

Where is everyone? But here goes... 1. What was your favorite childhood toy? It had to have been my bike. We went everywhere on bikes as a kid, all over the neighborhood from morning to night. 2. Are you a righty or a lefty? Lefties...did your teacher try to make you write with your right hand? Righty, have one daughter that is a leftie and it was so tough teaching her how to do things with the left hand. Especially tie her shoes. She grew up being able to do things then with her right hand for the most part. 3. Can you eat using chopsticks? No way, not coordinated enough to be able to do that. 4. When was your last follow up with your surgeon? When is your next appt? Had a 3 month check up and go again on April 13th for my 6 month check up. 5. How often do you see your stylist for a trim/cut/color/whatever? Considering my girls cut and color my hair, I would say I see them a couple times a week. I do want to go and get a good cut here soon though. You know what I mean, not that they don't do good. 6. What is one item from your list of "things I want to do before I die?" I have never had a list like that. I take one day at a time and be happy with that. Sad I know. 7. Do you have a medic ID bracelet for WLS? What does it say? If you don't have one, are you planning to get one? If no, why not? Don't have one and don't know if I am going to get one or not. I have a note in with my drivers license saying I have had the surgery though. 8. What is your idea of a relaxing weekend? Floating out on a lake somewhere in out boat, soaking up the rays and catching a fish here and there. 9. What is your dream job? Being at home with my kids, but since they are grown up and there is no money with that job, I guess I am close to it now, working with the elderly in activities. It is so gratifying bringing a smile to their faces and knowing you are making a difference in their day. 10. Do you read your posts before you send it to the board? Nothing I can do about the spelling, boy do I miss spell check....If it is a lenghty post or trying to say something important I will reread it and change things around. I try.....

1. What was your favorite childhood toy? A "life sized" doll named Sylvia. I kept beating up on her (doing her "makeup" with markers, cutting her hair, ripping out limbs)..my wonderful mother would find others at yardsales and kept replacing it for awhile. 2. When was your last follow up with your surgeon? When is your next appt? My last follow up was my 3 month in January, my next is my 6 month - which will be the 1st week of May. 5. How often do you see your stylist for a trim/cut/color/whatever? Usually every other month, but at the moment it's all falling out and my sylist said "no way" to a coloring or to toching it at all for that matter. 6. What is one item from your list of "things I want to do before I die?" Dogsled. When I lived in Alaska I knew several competitive mushers. I had a picnic at the homestead of Jeff King (an Iditarod champ) and had friends who ran the Iditarod for several years. At one point I though seriously about asking them about living and training with them. I no longer have a desire to race in the Iditarod, but I would love to at least "drive" a dogsled at some point. 7. Do you have a medic ID bracelet for WLS? What does it say? If you don't have one, are you planning to get one? If no, why not? No ID bracelet and I really have no desire to get one. I had so many medical issues before my surgery, including brain/balance issues, kidney issues etc, etc...I feel healthy, I look healthy - I don't want to bring attention to myself in anyway as being "not healthy". I am supposed to wear one for my brain issue anyway as the surgery to correct that could potentially cause issues in an emergency, it's just something I choose not to do. 8. What is your idea of a relaxing weekend? Whats that? I haven't had one in so long. A relaxing weekend means sleeping past 7am and spending the day outdoors, geocaching, hiking, picnicing etc. Maybe getting back home in time to cook a real dinner and watch tv until an early bedtime. The last weekend like this that I can remember was in January. 9. What is your dream job? Teaching piano full-time from a HOME studio (no driving) while my hubby (soon-to-be) provides my health insurance etc. though his job (which isn't going to happen). 10. Do you read your posts before you send it to the board? Do you correct spelling, rephrase sentences, etc? Or do you click and send? I do not read (unless it's a short one) nor do I rephrase or correct grammer or spelling. I was a high school English teacher even. I enjoy the freedom of positing and letting it come out however it was first typed.

Lefties...did your teacher try to make you write with your right hand? I am right handed.. 3. Can you eat using chopsticks? I use to eat Sushi with Chop Sticks. havent had it since WLS though.. 4. When was your last follow up with your surgeon? When is your next appt? I had an appointment at 3 months and next is at 6 months. 5. How often do you see your stylist for a trim/cut/color/whatever? About every 6-8 weeks. I am not really light.. lol.. I get dark and grey roots really fast.. 6. What is one item from your list of "things I want to do before I die?" I have so many.. uummm.. I would say.. get married again.. 7. Do you have a medic ID bracelet for WLS? What does it say? If you don't have one, are you planning to get one? If no, why not? I dont have one.. I dont know if I am going to get one.. They are so ugly.. Not a reason to not have one though.. hee heeee 8. What is your idea of a relaxing weekend? Saturday with Family and Sunday home watching TV in sweats and no make up.. 9. What is your dream job? Working any where part time with full time pay.. 10. Lefties...did your teacher try to make you write with your right hand? RIGHTY 3. Can you eat using chopsticks? YES, BUT HAVEN'T TRIED SINCE SURGERY...CHINESE FOOD DOESN'T SIT WELL 4. When was your last follow up with your surgeon? When is your next appt? LAST ONE WAS AT 6 WEEKS POST OP WITH MY SURGEON AND THEN 3 MOS POST OP WITH MY PCP. MY NEXT APPT IS AT 6 MOS POST OP WITH MY SURGEON. 5. How often do you see your stylist for a trim/cut/color/whatever? NEVER GO. MY HAIR IS SUPER LONG AND I NEVER CUT IT OR COLOR IT. I DO MY BANGS MYSELF. I'M THINKING OF GETTING SOMETHING MORE HIP, BUT WILL PROBABLY CHICKEN OUT. 6. What is one item from your list of "things I want to do before I die?" GO TO ITALY 7. Do you have a medic ID bracelet for WLS? What does it say? If you don't have one, are you planning to get one? If no, why not? NO AND NOT PLANNING ON GETTING ONE. MY BROTHER IS AN EMT AND HE SAYS THAT THEY DON'T WORRY ABOUT LOOKING FOR TAGS OR BRACELETS, JUST STABALIZE THE PATIENT EN ROUTE TO THE ER. MY SURGEON ALSO SAID THAT IT WOULD BE PRETTY POINTLESS SINCE THE NG TUBE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DAMAGE THE POUCH. PLUS MY BIG OL SCAR ON MY BELLY WOULD PROBABLY GIVE ANYONE A HEADS UP THAT I HAD "SOMETHING" DONE. I WOULD RATHER THEY TRY TO SAVE MY LIFE RIGHT AWAY AND RISK HURTING MY STOMACH THAN DELAY SAVING MY LIFE FOR A FEW MOMENTS TO SEE WHAT MEDS I CAN HAVE. 8. What is your idea of a relaxing weekend? SITTING AROUND THE HOUSE WATCHING MOVIES AND NOT NEEDING TO DO ANY ARRANDS OR PLAY "BASEBALL TAXI MOM" 9. What is your dream job? TO BE A CORONER 10. Can you eat using chopsticks? No. 4. When was your last follow up with your surgeon? When is your next appt? I think my last was in December. I see him again in a couple weeks. 5. How often do you see your stylist for a trim/cut/color/whatever? Ususally every other month. 6. What is one item from your list of "things I want to do before I die?" Publish a novel. 7. Do you have a medic ID bracelet for WLS? What does it say? If you don't have one, are you planning to get one? If no, why not? No and no. A main reason for having the surgery was to live a normal life. A medic id doesn't fit in with that. 8. What is your idea of a relaxing weekend? Being alone by the sea. 9. What is your dream job? Best-selling author. 10. Do you read your posts before you send it to the board? Do you correct spelling, rephrase sentences, etc? Or do you click and send? I read and correct spelling. Sometimes I miss things, though. I rarely need to rephrase a sentence...words flow the way I want them to...and that's a gift for which I am very grateful.

Lefties...did your teacher try to make you write with your right hand? I must be the only Lefty in the group. I was lucky in that my teachers taught me proper placement as I learned to write. I have had to teach myself how to do so many things because of being left-handed. Crocheting etc.... 3. Can you eat using chopsticks? Yup. I prfer forks though. 4. When was your last follow up with your surgeon? When is your next appt? My next appt is April 6th. I saw my surgeon for my 3 month follow up. I am in the office monthly for my B-12 shot. 5. How often do you see your stylist for a trim/cut/color/whatever? I try to go every few months. I am holding off for a few weeks before I go. I so want this gray gone. 6. What is one item from your list of "things I want to do before I die?" Get a Phd. 7. Do you have a medic ID bracelet for WLS? What does it say? If you don't have one, are you planning to get one? If no, why not? Yes. I have a beautiful one I purchased at a WL Conference. I haven't had the medical alert part engraved yet. 8. What is your idea of a relaxing weekend? No phones. Spending time with family and friends. Hanging laundry out on the line. 9. What is your dream job? the one someone else does.... 10. Do you read your posts before you send it to the board?
