ok, I am just wondering if anyone elses weight loss has slowed waaaaaay down. I really havent lost much since Jan this year. I went to dr. starr March 9th and was 237, and right now I am at 232. I cant seem to lose. I am getting frustrated. I was just wondering if this was happening to anyone else?

You are not alone dear. I have really slowed down to but I know not excerising is problably one of my problems and the fact that I eat late alot can also have some bearing on the problem. I have lost 74 lbs so far and I know that is good and I feel great but just wonder why the scales don't move like they should. I do know that I am losing in inches and that is what really matters the most. I guess that is the best way to look at it. Have you noticed if you are maybe losing in inches??? I measure myself every month and it has also slowed down alot but just like the scales....everything is a plus and one less pound or inch than what I had

Hi there
I was a patient of dr Klein and I moved over and had my sugery with Dr Sullivan. I had my surgery on Oct 19th. I was 287 and I am now 197 (scaled moved today, yeah). I am losing about 1-2 pounds a week. The only time I have lose more was when I was really sick with a cold and right after surgery.
The thing I remember is that slow and steady wins the race!
I have also noticed that carbs have been creeping back into diet. I have been eating some baked tortilla chips and some low-fat pringles. I have take that back out. Chips were always one of my biggist worries.
I have also started working out this week. I have been walking all along, but now I have added some hand weights and the "big ball".
Maybe journal what you are eating and how you are exercising each day. Be honest and add the little bites here and there (because that is close to a meal for us).
Good luck with this.

I haven't stopped losing but then I am a lot heavier then you are. From the daily reading of the boards about people your weight, it sounds just like you are normal. The lighter you get and the further down the WLS journey you get the harder and harder its going to be to lose. At 6 months out you are pretty much out of your honeymoon period so will have to really start stepping it up with watching what you eat and adding in more and more exercise. I am sure you haven't "stopped' losing but that your body has adjusted to the loss and now just needs more to kick start the losing again. Hang in there. Stick to your plan. Get your work outs in and maybe even give your NUT or surgeon a call to see if there is anymore more they can recommend that you do.
Good luck!
Felicia
It seems that many of us are in the same boat, which makes me feel better about it as we can know that we are not alone.
I posted an :ambivalent 5 month report" on Tuesday, and have seen the same subject from others. (See Sherry Simond's post right below yours.)
We will all just have to stick to the program and wait it out.
Hopefully, we will all start to drop a bit soon.
