I have an office meeting coming up at an Italian restaurant. There's no ordering from a menu, it's buffet style. They serve different varities of pizza. That's it. Anyone have any suggestions? Are you eating pizza at this point?

Marie, Only pizza? Do they serve salad? Can you get the person ordering to include salad in the order? Pizza would probably make me sick. And if it wouldn't, I don't want to know that yet. If pizza were the absolute only option, I would eat beforehand...bring a protein drink and/or banana with me. Lisa

Eat the toppings. Leave the crust.

I've eaten in Italian restaurant recently, not buffet style though; i ordered a salad and eggplant parm. I have had pizza, and just eat the cheese and sauce.

Too bad it's just pizza but... sometimes I'm ok with it sometimes not. What I've found is that I need one with canadian bacon or regular bacon on it, or just cheese. If it's pepperoni or sausage the meats are too fatty. We had pizza today at work--it's a very popular choice (because it's cheap for large groups). I just eat the topping and take it very slow. Sometimes they have white pizza with the cheeses and spinach. That does well also. p.s. I cut up the pizza and eat the toppings with a fork and no one really notices.

I can actually eat pizza now. But not often, cuz wayyyy too many carbs for me. You can always bring a protein drink I always have one on stand by. Or, like the others said, just eat the toppings off. Good Luck!

Hey Maria! Just wanted to weigh in with my two cents worth. I always have a protein bar in my purse just in case there is nothing I can eat available. I have had pizza lately with no problems. I eat the toppings and toss the rest. Hope that helps. Susan

A lot of good advice here...I too have done pizza but just ate the toppings and a bite of the crust. I also keep a protein bar on me at all times, just in case. If its at a restaraunt you can always slip away and order something special....I find that chicken parm or a side order of meatballs are good options for me. But chances are they"ll have more than pizza out.
