QOTD - Wednesday
1. What is your favorite brand of non caloric drink? I love walmart's version of crystal light
2. What is your favorite flavor of the above? I'd have to say it's a toss up between fruit punch and strawberry.
3.What is your favorite protein drink? Pro - Complex, chocolate
4. Do you prefer plain water to the above drinks? I prefer the flavored drinks as my tap water, even w/ a filter on it has a funny taste to me.
5. Do you prefer to write w/ a pen or pencil? a pencil actually, i make so many mistakes that the eraser is my friend.
6. Which do you crave, chocolate or chips? neither actually, I crave breads and rolls.
7. Is it as hard as you thought it would be, WLS? No actually not, i found it very easy to conform to the eating smaller portions and eating the protein first. The hardest part for me is actually two fold, 1) trying to get in 60 or more ounces of fluid a day and staying away from the breads/rolls/biscuts, ext . . . .
8. Do you wear belts? are you looking forward to wearing them? No i've never worn belts, even when I was younger and skinnier, I find them to restricting.
9. If you were approched by your surgeon to do a testimonial would you? let them use before/after pics? That's a hard one to answer, on one hand i would say yes because of the great accheivments/goals I've met and accomplished, but on the other hand I'm a fairly private person and don't know if I'd want all my personal business out in fornt for everyone to see and read.
10. Insurance covering plastics, have it done? and what? Yes if i could be assured I'd heal as quickly for those surgeries as I have in the past, I'd have a TT, arm lift, thighs and breast lift.
donna, sfy
1. What is your favorite brand of non caloric drink? Crystal Light
2. What is your favorite flavor of the above? Raspberry and Lemonade.
3.What is your favorite protein drink? IsoPure Zero Carb Mango Peach
4. Do you prefer plain water to the above drinks? Water.
5. Do you prefer to write w/ a pen or pencil? A #2 pencil or a fountain pen with real ink.
6. Which do you crave, chocolate or chips? Neither one.
7. Is it as hard as you thought it would be, WLS? No, oddly I find it hard to eat enough protein without the protein shakes, but I am so satified with smaller amounts that is has been easier than anticipated.
8. Do you wear belts? are you looking forward to wearing them? My pants are hanging off! I need them now.
9. If you were approched by your surgeon to do a testimonial would you? let them use before/after pics? No, probably not. I would gladly do a written testimonial with just my first name, but I don't want to relive those days of being 100+ pounds overweight - I'm just too private.
10. Insurance covering plastics, have it done? and what? You bet I would! I'd fix my bat wings, my tummy, my thighs and my wrinkly behind!
1. What is your favorite brand of non calorie drinks? (ie, Crystal Light, Wylers, Wal-mart store brand, etc) I like Walmart, not as strong as Crystal Light. Althought I found Red Diamond brand Sugar Free Iced Tea w/Splenda. Tastes just like sweet tea. YUMMY!!! Limit myself to one a day. My son loves this, too. Luckily they sell it in a gallon jug at our Super Wal-Mart.
2. What is your favorite flavor of the above? I like Grape
3. What is your favorite protein drink? I had the Vitamin World brand Vanilla Whey and then I added some SF French Vanilla Coffee Creamer and some DaVinci SF Amaretto Syrup.
4. Do you prefer plain water to the above drinks? I prefer plain water, if I'm not drinking my one glass of Iced Tea a day.
5. Do you prefer to write with a pen or pencil? PEN!!! Hate writing with pencils.
6. Which do you crave more, chocolate (sweets) or chips (salties)? Has this always been your weakness? Dang...lately it is sweets. Driving me crazy!!! Probably the cake and ice cream I had this weekend kicked my carb cravings back in gear.
7. Is it as hard as you thought it would be to live the WLS lifestyle? Or has it been easier? Please explain!! This is meant to be an essay question. I think that it is getting harder than I thought it would this early. In the beginning it was easier than I thought it would be to not eat much and not crave much and lose a lot of weight. Now it is getting hard to NOT eat. I've been hungry lately and I crave sweets and pick at things more when I am in the kitchen. Although, I didn't know it was going to be so much like a diet when I had the surgery. I think about what I am going to eat and when I'm going to eat all the time. If I am going somewhere, I think about what are they going to have that I can eat? Even with the surgery, it is a lot like a diet....I KNOW....LIFESTYLE!!! It's definately a work in progress.
8. Do you wear belts? If not, are you looking forward to wearing them? I have NEVER been a belt person. Now I wear one EVERY DAY!!! I am actually on my second belt. After losing some weight I was in a 2XL belt, now I am in an XL and in the last holes on that. I will be in a LARGE belt soon. I have TOTALLY lost my butt. NOBUTTATALL!!!! That's what you can call me. Without a belt, I am losing my drawers all day long.
9. If you were approached by your surgeon to give a testimonial in their printed info, would you? Would you be willing to let them use before/after pics? Another essay question...please explain. Yes, I would definately give him a testimonial. I wouldn't mind letting them use before/after pics of me. It is amazing what I have done with the surgery. I have referred my husband to him and my cousin is having surgery with him in June. I also think my dad should have it and have mentioned it to him a couple of times. He's also been asking me about the surgery. I want to carry my surgeons business cards around with me to pass out to people that I see that would benefit from his wonderful hands.
10. If you knew your insurance would cover any and all plastic surgeries after you met your goal weight, would you have it and what would you have done? HELL YEAH!!! I need a TT and breast lift/augmentation and would consider my thighs and batwings. Definately the TT and boobs.
