I'm just popping in to announce my WOW moment this morning! I was looking for something to wear to church. I've purged all the too big clothes from my closet and now most of my dress clothes are size 12 and under....My pants are size 16....quite a difference there.... So, I looked thru what was hanging in the closet and had a light bulb moment....what if I wore a girdle??? GUESS WHAT??? I can wear a size 12 dress!!!!! As my hubby pointed out (very very kindly) it was a tiny bit tight across the tummy, but not tight enough to keep me from wearing it and feeling stylish!! (Well...as stylish as I could feel considering the last time I wore this dress was before son#3!!! Thank goodness for "classic" clothes....pleated skirt/fitted jacket top that wasn't *too* long.) Just wanted to share that!!! Hope everyone is having a fabulous day! BTW, still have the girdle on and now my size 16 pants are too huge on me. LOL I'm so loving this!!!! Susan

Thanks Patricia!!! You are right...I DO feel like a million bucks today. It's amazing what getting into a size 12 will do to ya...even if it's a tight 12. Susan

That is so cool Susan. I havent bought a girdle yet. I think I will need to.. I dont even know what kind to buy?? Any suggestions? Like one with legs?? I cant afford spanx.. I think Walmart has some? Do they squish your guts? I know it will make such a huge differance.. I dont know where to even start.. what size.. etc.. Help!! hee heeeee.. Congrats to you My love!!!! Luvs and Hugs! Tiff

Thanks Tiff!! I hear ya...Spanx is out of my price range too. I got mine at Wal-Mart a few years ago (back when I was a 16 before, lol) and it has the legs....and is made of what seems to be several layers of lycra or spandex....I love it. It has a wide waist band that is soft, so it doesn't kill my waist and the legs have this stuff on them that make them stay in place instead of rolling up and cutting off my circulation at the top of my thighs. I don't really know what size it is though as the tag can't be read anymore. It's been used and washed WAY too many times. I will admit that if you aren't used to wearing a girdle, it feels like you are being squished....but if you find one that's the right size and has comfort features, it's not THAT bad....and to be able to hold in that loose skin and fit into your clothes....it's worth it!!! I won't be wearing mine daily by any means, but when I want to wear something and have it fit nicely - or maybe even go ahead and buy a couple of size 12 pants and have them FIT and wear them longer - well, that's probably something I'll be doing! Hee hee.....in the snap of a girdle...did you hear it all the way in MT?? I can't WAIT to be able to wear a 12 without the girdle. I will be SUCH a happy camper!!!! Dang...I remember WAY back when I was mortified that I was so *fat* that I needed a 12. Now, a 12 sounds like heaven to me. Weird, huh?? Susan
