Went shopping today....

And actually had fun!!!!!! I had forgotten that shopping can actually be a fun experience. I hit a milestone in my life today. Are you ready for this one, I bought a pair of jeans at the GAP(size 14)!!!!!! I have never owned a pair of GAP jeans. I know you're probably thinking how silly but they're GAP jeans!!!! Another strange thing, I bought 2 pair of shoes today and they were a 1/2 size smaller. Has anyone else gone down in shoe size? While I was shopping at one mall my husband and son(who is 10) were at a different one. My son called me and said a twin of me before surgery is at that mall. She is the same size I was, same hairstyle, and waddles just like I use to! Could you imagine! I never thought I waddled. Now I can walk with my shoulders back and my chin up high! My feet have gotten smaller. I can most likely stop buying wide widths now. As I wear shoes from before surgery, my feet hurt. I know it is because they don't fit me anymore. I am in a size 14 also. I finally went shopping and didn't panic looking at clothes on the other side of the store for the first time. As I walked by the plus sizes, I thought I can't even begin to wear those anymore... I'm not even going to browse. A.

YAY, Allison!!! I bet you are ecstatic. I want to get a pair of Gap jeans, too!!! I am in a 14 now, too and I forgot about looking in the Gap. Maybe on my next shopping spree. I might have to look there for a pair of capris. I think my feet have shrunk a little. I was wearing an 11wide, but they are a little big on me now. Some 11's work, but some are tight across the top. They don't sell 10 1/2's, and 10's are too small. I did buy a pr of 10 Wides to wear to the funeral home and they were more comfortable than my 11Wides, but that was just one pair. I need some spring shoes, so maybe next week I will try them on again.
