all i can do is sympathise with you for the pain you are in. i have suffered from degenerative disc disease for years. in fact, i spent three years in terrible pain and one of them flat on my back in bed. i had an artificial disc implanted in my back in 2005. since then, i have had a lot of relief, but i will never be pain free. it is much better than it was, but i still have some pretty painful days. make sure you check it out with the dr. i'm sure they will be able to give you some exercises to help to build up your core muscles. best regards, and feel better, patricia

***big hugs*** Hope you are feeling better today. Kids had the computer all night and we've been gone all day, so didn't see this till now. As for me, I had back pain galore prior to surgery, but as I've lost weight, it's gone away for the most part. I have some pain occassionally, but not like before. My best advice is to go see your PCP and talk to them about this. I don't think you want to let it go until your next visit with your surgeon. Back problems need to be dealt with immediately!!! Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing! Susan

Sorry to hear about your pain. I had back pain prior to and right after surgery. It has gotten much better as I lost the weight. I hope someone can help you because I know what misery it can cause through daily life. Hope you feel better soon Allison
