1. Which foods do you HAVE to stay away from or they will make you ?
for me it isn't so much the food as it is the way that i eat it. sometimes i've eaten too quickly, or i have had too much water with my meal (that only happened once... never again. we were at a chinese restaurant and i guess i was just really having a good time and not thinking.) other than that, i can tolerate just about anything, and sadly i know this because i've tried.
2. Have you had a full blown dumping experience since having WLS?
i'm not really sure. i've gotten sick, but never really had the cramps and sweats and stuff, so i don't think so.
3. How many hours of sleep do you need every night to be a happy and functioning person?
i need at least 8-9, and my sleep has been terrible lately. i can't sleep at all at night, but come 8 am i can sleep until about noon or two pm. my mom says that when i was a baby i was the same way, and an aunt of mine "turned me". she said some kind of incantation and turned me around on the bed. and from that day on my mom said that i slept all night long. too bad that aunt isn't around anymore, and no one knows her secret spell. my family had strange gifts... my grandmother was known to be able to "stop blood", she could stop anyone from bleeding, even over the telephone. i had one aunt that could "blow fire"... that meant that she could stop the pain of a burn just by saying something and blowing on it. and then the aunt that "turned babies". i told you they were strange. the problem was that they were all female, and in order to pass these "gifts" on, they would have had to have been taught to a male and then a female, and none of the men wanted to learn.
4. Which animal do you think describes you best? Why?
i like what others have said... i think probably a dog, loyal and loving.
5. If you were a rose, would you have thorns? Explain why or why not.
i'm sure i would. i'm not an agressive person, but don't hurt my kids or my family or i'll stick you for sure.
6. In your decorating do you tend to stay with neutrals or are you bold with colors? Briefly explain.
i love neutrals with some bold but warm colors... deep reds, blues and green. i like jewel tones.
7. What is one thing you know now that you wish you had fully understood prior to having WLS?
i think i was very educated and knowledgable before my surgery.
8. Do you have windchimes at your house/apartment?
there is a very small windchime right inside my front door, and i used to have beautifull ones with gorgeous tones out back, but the large ones just got to be to noisy.
9. What is one of your pet peeves?
i don't like liars... as my husband says "liars are people that steal the truth", and we can't tolerate that.
10. Do you watch your fingers when you type or do you look at the screen?
i look at the screen or at the copy if i am typing something other than from my mind. every once in a while i have to look at a number or symbol. i feel strongly that keyboarding should be a manditory middle school class. that, and study skills classes are where i feel our school system was lacking.
thanks... this was fun.

Here we go with some fun questions:
1. Which foods do you HAVE to stay away from or they will make you barf ? I can tolerate almost everything, it is more of how I eat it that will bother me.
2. Have you had a full blown dumping experience since having WLS? No dumping, but the foamies a couple times.
3. How many hours of sleep do you need every night to be a happy and functioning person? No specific amount as I have been sleeping terribly lately, but probably I would love to get 7 a night but when all is said and done it is probably around 4.
4. Which animal do you think describes you best? Why? I think I am like the dog that is loyal, loving etc.
5. If you were a rose, would you have thorns? Explain why or why not. On one hand I don't like hurting others, but then on the other hand I would need something for a defense of those out there that want to hurt me.
6. In your decorating do you tend to stay with neutrals or are you bold with colors? Briefly explain I would say more of the earthtones that I like.
7. What is one thing you know now that you wish you had fully understood prior to having WLS? I was pretty informed but the one thing that I did not anticipate was how much of a mind game this journey is. Almost more mental to me than a physical one.
8. Do you have windchimes at your house/apartment? Love wind chimes and have a couple of them on my front porch. What a soothing sound to me.
9. What is one of your pet peeves? People who sniff and don't blow their nose.
10. Do you watch your fingers when you type or do you look at the screen? Both, I am not all that good with the numbers and some of the symbols. So I have to peek every once in a while.
