Start doing something nice for myself once a mth
Having a healthier eating habit for LIFE
1year Goals=
Start college again
Be at my goal of 145lbs
Join a gym and possibly get a trainer
Well that's it for now.....if anyone else would like to add their goals....please feel free to do so...I wish everyone the best of luck and success on this journey.
Stay Blessed!!

Hey Surgery Twin!!! I also had my surgery on 10/12.
I'm not a real goal oriented person. I will have things that I want to accomplish, but I don't set a timeline to it.
One thing I do want to do very much is to enter into and earn my Phd. I am hoping that with the weight loss I will have the energy to do this. Mostly, I have to find the money....

Good morning Kesha!
I love your goals! I have some too for one year out, but nothing major for the 6 month anny - other than to be in the 160's....and that's only a couple of pounds away, so I'm hoping to hit that one.
By 1 year out, I'd like to be at goal - somewhere between 125 and 135. And, I want to be in a good exercise routine. When the cold weather hit, wimpy me stopped walking outside (which I love) and I haven't started back even though the weather is BEAUTIFUL again. I'd also like to either go back to school or start working part time. Not sure which I want to do. We are supposed to move this summer and I'm not sure what will be available. I'm thinking if I go back to school, I'd like to do something with healthcare administration.....maybe....I have so many things I'm interested in doing that I can't pick just ONE to do for the rest of my life....
Best of luck with your journey!!
Susan
Hi Kesha,
I think it's really cool that you've listed goals beyond pounds to lose.
My most immediate goals are to continue to exercise and improve my fitness level, and to land a new job soon.
Over the next year, I want to complete a first draft (at least) of a book I'm working on, be strong and fit, and bring a good man into my life.
Good luck with your goals, especially going back to college - - how exciting!

My goals are mostly activity oriented. Things I have never done (or haven't done in a LOOOOONG TIME) because all this dang fat got in the way - or at least convinced me it was in the way!
Spring:
Fly in an airplane w/out a seatbelt extender.
Kayaking - I'm looking into a few classes in the area where I can learn it. Plus The Boy and I are going to try sea kyaking on the honeymoon.
Snorkeling - I tried it years ago - but haven't since...to afraid some of the equipment won't fit.
Summer:
Water Skiing, jet skiing, sailing.
Winter - Skiing (we were going to go this winter - but I couldn't find a ski jacket at the Goodwill and refused to buy one since it would only be used for one season).
Well I want to thank everyone *****sponded.....looks like all of our goals go outside of just the weight. It is so funny how we able our weight to stop us from pursuing our dreams.-- Well I know that was true for me. But now I know that I can accomplish anything I put my mind too. The surgery has given me the key to unlock doors to my future. I wish everyone much success in EVERYTHING that you do.
