i got my red exerciser...
i picked it up yesterday and put it together (2 minute job) this morning. i hope that it will help with my problem areas above the waist. i have always been "proportionally fat" all over, but it seems that my @$$ and my legs are slimming down faster than the top of me. sooooo... starting today i am going to use my "red" everyday and see how many inches i can melt away (oh, if it really could melt away that easily). i've been to the grocery store already and i am going to put on a pot of chili a little later. then tomorrow night i think i will make a shepard's pie. i was going to make a meat loaf, but i use pork in mine and my daughter's fiance doesn't eat pork... so i'll make my mother-in-law's shepard's pie recipe. all she does is season ground beef and bake it in a round shape, then when it has about 15 minutes left in the oven she covers it with mashed potatoes and, get this, pours a can of franco american beef gravy over it. then back in the oven for 15 minutes and voila... a side vegie and a salad and we've got dinner. my future son-in-law is a real meat and potatoes kind of boy, so i think he will enjoy it. i also picked up the ingredients to make my son's favorite soup. it is so easy, and it's really almost more of a stew. you just use a pkg. of knorr's vegitable soup and the amt. of water the pkg. calls for, then you add a 10 oz. pkg. of frozen spinach (thawed and drained), and a 9 oz. pkg. of fresh or frozen meat or cheese tortolini. and cook it till it's heated through...about 20 to 30 minutes. he tops it with pecorino romano and eats it by the bowlfull all day long. i usually at least quadruple that recipe, and i have made it 6 times that amt. it keeps for about 5-6 days in the fridge and is even better heated up the second time.
i guess i've rambled enough. i am sitting here drinking a "venti, no fat, sugarfree vanilla latte" from starbucks. it has about 19 oz. of skim milk in it so that is 19 gms. of protein. i'll need the coffee today considering i fell asleep last night at 9:30pm, and then woke up and 12:30am and couldn't go back to sleep. i don't want to nap today though so i can try to get my sleep patterns straightened out.
have a great saturday everyone. tiff, i hope you are feeling better. and lisa s. i am thinking about you and your son. and of course, i am praying for deanne as well.

Can't wait to hear how you like your red seat. If you really like it, I will probably be getting one, as that will be two testimonials on the board for the chair. Maria seems to love hers.
Your recipes sound yummy!!! We are heading to my sisters house today for dinner and to watch a couple of movies. She is making Meatloaf and scallopped potatoes. Dave's favorite. I think he will be able to eat them since the meatloaf is already ground and he can smash the potatoes with his fork. I made SF pistacio pudding (green for St Patty's day). It should be a nice afternoon.
Your "venti, no fat, SF Vanilla Latte" sounds Yummy, too!!! I have been getting the SF NF Cinnamon Dolce Latte there lately. It is YUMMO!!! I wanted one last night when I ran into Target, but the Starbucks in there was closed when I got there. Darn it!!!
Enjoy your dinner and your day.
Hugs,
Tabby
Have fun on your "red" Patricia!!! Can't wait to hear how you like it. I'm just trying to get back into the routine of walking every day. My legs were looking GREAT....now they look not so great again.
Your recipes sound yummy yummy!! I love shepherd's pie. Hmmmm....think I'll add that into my menu for the next two weeks. I'm a planner by nature and make menus for each pay period. Makes life so much simpler when I don't have to think every day about what I'm cooking, not to mention it's cheaper too! Just check the menu and start cooking.
