Still in the Honeymoon Phase!!!
I've been losing 5 lbs and week for the last 2 weeks. Weigh in on Monday was 5 lbs and today when I weighed I lost another 4 lbs. Yay!!!!!! That's 9 lbs!!!!! I read some posts that member say you slow down after 5 months. I don't believe it's true as long as you eat your Protein. Drink all your water and Excercise we will keep losing. When we have the 1 and 2 pound weight lose or stop losing for a couple of weeks it just our bodies trying to catch up with the fast weight loss. When I read posts like this I think to myself. Nope not me, I'm going to keep on losing at a steady rate!!!!!!! I try to keep positive attitude. If I start worrying about not losing I will start sabataging(sp) myself. Giving myself reasons not to work out or eat the wrong things. Hope this post helps keep everyone on track and helps us relize we are still losing quickly and steadily. Thanks.......
RENEE,
FIVE POUNDS IN A WEEK? THAT'S WONDREFUL, I'VE BEEN LOSING ABOUT 1.5# A WEEK. MAKES ME CRAZY, I EAT MOSTLY PROTEIN, WALK AT LEAST 2 MILES ABOUT 3 TIMES A WEEK, (work 12 hr shifts) AND DRINK AT LEAST 80oz A DAY.
WHAT KIND OF EXERCISE REGEME DO YOU HAVE? I HAVE TO TRY SOMETHING ELSE TO JUMP START THE LOSING AGAIN.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
DONNA, SFY
I go to Curves 5 times a week and I walk over a mile on my lunch time. What has helped me speed up my metabalism is eating early in the morning and every 3 hours. I use stairs and wash and wax my car myself. On the weekend I walk alot. I go swap meets and shop. I keep myself very busy. Keep up the protein. I try to get over 70 daily. I started eating soy nuts for snacks since they have alot of protein and boy does alittle get you full. I also do my daily protein drink. I wouldn't be able to get all my protein in if I didn't. I stay away from tortillas, bread and rice. Once I get closer to my goal weight I'll start to eating small amounts of them. If your just walking you need to add another form of exercise either aerobic or weight lifting. Your body is probably use to the walking. I don't even breath hard or sweat when I walk. My body is use to it already. They sell band that you could exercise with at home or by some hand weights. Hope this helps......

Me too! Actually I was told that I had about a year to get off what I was going to get off "easy" then the super hard work would begin. Of course the harder i work that 1st year the more that comes off and the faster it comes off. I admit I am not the best at working out. But I am strict with my intake. I average about 4lbs a week. Now thats average over all since surgery not on a weekly basis. Some weeks I lose lots and some weeks I lose only a pound. But since I chart it I can look back over the past months and see where it was doing what ever it was doing before. Basically I found there is a pattern lol and rarely worry about the number each week as long as the averages stay up. I shoot for -12lbs a month and so far my average has been 16 so its all good. I do find that the weeks I dont eat enough and try and rely on my shakes I lose the least and the weeks I eat the most and only use 1 shake with keeping my calories a bit higher ( around 800 ) I lose the most. I think as long as we stick to plan we will keep losing. I do think though that as we get closer to goal we are going to have to "work that plan" a lot harder...
I am so happy for you and your loss!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!

Renee,
I so agree with you. Thank you so much for posting about this. My Dr. is right along with the same thinking. He said you basically have the 1st year to lose the most amount of weight. Then after that it is much harder. I have seen it with hubby and many of his buddies. I lost several lbs two weeks ago so the honeymoon period is definetely not over. Thank you thank you thank you! You are doing great! Keep up the awsesome work!!! YAY!!!! Those lbs are flying off of ya!!
HUGS,
MELISSA
I'm glad you and your husband are doing so great. I'm also glad you agree with my post. I want to have everyone feeling the same way that way we all try are hardest to lose and not give up after five or six months. I also had a week about 3 weeks ago that I didn't lose anything, then the last 2 weeks I lost 14 lbs. We all go through being scared that we are not going to lose all the weight or that we are losing to slow. When this happen we need to change something in our routine. Like washing your own car instead of going to the car wash. Park fatherr in a parking lot. Use stair instead of the elevator. If it's to hard to walk upstairs only use them to walk down stairs. Go to swap meets, farmers markets. Take pets for walk. Ok I'm done ranting. Hope this helps other members out there............ Keep Positive!!!!!
Hey Renee,
I just noticed you are down the Freeway from me.. So close. I am in Orange.. You go to the OC swpmeet and walk?? I go there too.. That is so cool about you losing 5 lbs a week. I havent lost that since the begining. What curves do you go to? Are you going to the Irvine Conf? I dont think I am going to be able to afford it.. So sad.. Wow, I would love to meet you for coffee on the weekend.. I dont think I have you as a friend. I will add you!!!
Luvs and Hugs!

I go to school on Saturday's and work over time. So when I do go to the swap meet it usually on Sunday's. I've never been to the OC swap meet do they have it on Sunday's? I love to go to it. Where exactly is it located? I kinda stay around the Los Angeles County area. I wanted to go to the Irvine conference, but my schedule is to hectic with school and overtime. I go to the Curves in Whittier where I live. I 'll probably be joining 24 hr fitness once I loose more weight. Right now I'm more comfortable being around women when I work out. I'd like to meet you one weekend too. Maybe we could meet at a swapmeet on a Sunday. I added you to my friends list. Keep in tounch....
