Got in a good workout on Tuesday

I woke up and got on the treadmill. I was doing my usual programmed walk with a max speed of 4.5 and max incline of 3, but today I decided to pu**** to see if I could do 5 mph on the treadmill. I managed to jog at 5 mph for EIGHT minutes!!! I ended up doing 2 miles on the treadmill. When I was finishing it up, my mom came home with the kids and said "I was going to ask you to go for a walk with me outside." I said "Let me finish this and I will." So we went outside and took a 30 minute walk around the fairgrounds with the kids in their stroller. It was nice. So I exercised for over 1 hour. And I felt pretty good afterwards. I think I am going to enjoy walking outside when the weather starts staying nice. It was 70 ouside today. YAY!!! Hope everyone else got out to enjoy the nice weather. Hugs, Tabby

Hi Tabby! It was gorgeous here, too!! It's raining today, but still supposed to be warm. Then this weekend....it is supposed to be COLD!! That's March for you!! I was so proud of myself yesterday! My husband and I went for a walk....(that's our ritual when the weather gets nice...we have a route that we take that is 5 miles) and we usually have to go rather slow so I can work my way up to the 5 miles, but last night we didn't have to! i didn't have to stop once to catch my breath and my legs weren't hurting...my feet didn't hurt.....I felt wonderful when were done!! WTG on the workout!! I'm really wishing I hadn't given my treadmill away. But at the time I wasn't using it and hadn't used it in 3 years so it was just a big huge dust collector. At least the girl who got it is LOVING it. Once it stops raining, I'm planning to go do some walking outside - which I prefer anyway. Wouldn't you know it would rain all week during Spring Break??? Poor kids....Poor me too! They are making me I swear, if I hear "I'm bored" one more time I'm gonna go ballistic! Actually, it's just the youngest saying that because he's on restriction right now. The other three are happily playing video games. He's been reduced to jus****ching. Susan
